Croatia is one of the most visited destinations in the Mediterranean, due largely in part to its spectacular coastline along the Adriatic Sea. Singles Travel International brought a group aboard the Royal Clipper in August to sail this spectacular area, and it was nothing less than spectacular!

Our group of singles convened in Venice for two nights, exploring the myriad pedestrian alleys and bridges that make this city so unique. We enjoyed wonderful meals together and also listening to music in the evenings in Saint Mark’s Square.

From Venice, we boarded the Royal Clipper to begin our 7-night cruise along the coast of Croatia and Montenegro. We visited Zadar, Dubrovnik, Rovinj and the islands of Hvar and Vis (Croatia), as well as the picturesque town of Kotor, Montenegro.

Our members enjoyed excursions ranging from speedboat rides, to blue cave tours, to winery visits and even to Game of Thrones tours! Some days, we simply floated in the blue Adriatic or kayaked from the ship’s marine platform.

In Dubrovnik, we had as our included “Signature Experience” from STI a wonderful sunset cruise on a replica “Karaka” wooden ship. It was the perfect evening: We had dinner as a group in a beautiful piazza in town, followed by the sunset cruise with a welcome glass of Champagne.

In the evenings, we danced on the deck of the Royal Clipper, watched the stars – we were even fortunate enough to have seen a meteor shower with shooting stars!!
