Athens, Greece

Welcome to the beautiful Capital city of Greece; the birthplace of philosophy and democracy. Explore the ancient monuments, world class museums, chic cafés, unique shops and charming taverns of the city center. Admire the 5th century BC landmarks, including the Acropolis, and take in the stunning, panoramic views from Acropolis Hill. Discover the Parthenon Temple, just another one of the many ancient buildings we will find here. Observe the sculptures, jewelry and vases, preserved from Ancient Greece, at the Acropolis Museum or the National Archaeological Museum. One day in this city is not enough to see all it has to offer!

Kusadasi, Turkey ~ Ancient Ephesus Through the Ages – Hellenistic and Roman

This famous beach resort town is known for its colorful Bazaar (market) and beautiful marina. Kusadasi boasts a seafront promenade, and harbor, lined with hotels and restaurants. It is also known for its close proximity to the ancient (3,000 years old) city of Ephesus, home of the Temple of Artemis, one of the 7 wonders of the Ancient World. The location was chosen by the oracle of Delphi, according to legend, and shaped the history of Greek, Turkish and Christian civilizations. Today, our bus tour brings us on a journey through the golden ages that represent a pivotal center of commerce and spirituality. The presence of major Christian figures (the apostles Paul and John and the Virgin Mary) within the city walls, Ephesus is currently one of the largest Roman archaeological sites in the Mediterranean and a site of pilgrimage. We will explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site and have the opportunity to discover the Ephesus Agora, Odeon, the Houses of the Patricians, the beautiful Temple of Hadrian and the astonishing Library of Celsus. Before we head back to the ship, take the opportunity to shop for local merchandise, like souvenirs, leather goods or even carpets. Bargaining is half the fun!

Rhodes, Greece ~ Medieval Tour – Acropolis of Lindos and the Citadel of Knights

We will discover centuries of culture, and intriguing civilizations, on our bus tour through Lindos and the extraordinary structure of the Acropolis of Lindos. As we walk along Knight’s Street, in the heart of Rhodes, we will be following the footsteps of historical heroes. The seven lodges of the Order, displayed along the cobblestone street, still bear their original coats of arm. This is where Rhodes’ history was written for over two centuries. We will get a glimpse of the fascinating era of the knights at the Grand Master’s Palace, which sits pretty, at the top of Knights Street. It lives up to its name with its stunning and detailed Gothic architecture, and strength, displayed throughout its court structures. End the day, in Rhodes, with free time to explore the rest of the historical city at our own pace.

Agios Nikolaos, Greece

The beautiful town of Agios Nikolaos embraces the picturesque lake where Athena and Artemis were rumored to have bathed, and in more recent times, where Germans sunk their weapons when retreating from Crete in WW II. The town is one that is typically found on the Greek islands with neoclassical buildings, restaurants, bars and shops lining the lakeside. Wander the streets and marina, and soak up the sun in one of the many cafes.

Santorini, Greece

The gorgeous island of Santorini boasts whitewashed, cubiform houses atop a rugged landscape of black, volcanic cliffs. Our extended time in Santorini allows us to explore the capital city of Fira, and wander through the narrow streets, or visit the Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral. Across the island are the archaeological excavations of Akrotiri, destroyed in 16th century BC by the Theran eruption. The prehistoric city was buried in volcanic ash, which preserved the remains of many objects and artworks. Admire the breathtaking views during the day or witness the blazing sunset over the beaches of white, red and black lava pebbles.

After a day of exploring beautiful Santorini, we will meet back at our designated meeting point/time (noted in your FVD) to walk together to the Greek Wedding Show. A truly unique experience of local culture, it is not only a “Greek night” but an interactive performance with actors, dancers, singers, musicians and us. When the bride arrives, we are invited to the reception at the outdoor patio where we will enjoy a selection of “Greek tapas”, reflecting the traditional cuisine of Santorini. As we savor the tastes of the island, we will take an amazing journey through the best of Zorba, traditional and syrtaki dances throughout the history of Greece! Celebrate the Greek culture through the music and dance while enjoying plenty of wine and the famous Greek Mezedes.

Milos, Greece

The little, volcanic “Island of Colors” offers emerald waters set against the beautiful tones of the buildings and unique landscapes, such as Sarakiniko beach. A visit to the Milos Mining Museum will offer the chance to discover the mineral history and natural heritage of Milos. Plaka, the picturesque capital city of the island, will enchant us with it’s winding tiled streets, vibrantly painted houses and a variety of small shops, restaurants, and cafes. Take in the magical views of the Milos Bay, breathe in the salty air, tour one of the 2,000 year old catacombs or explore the 13th century Venetian Castle, atop Plaka Hill.

Mykonos, Greece (overnight)

Be ready, with a camera, as we cruise in to Mykonos, known as the cosmopolitan paradise. Artists, celebrities and socialites flock to Mykonos for its gorgeous beaches, breathtaking scenery and vibrant nightlife. During the day, wander through the pretty alleyways or tour the Ancient Greek Ruins on Delos, a small, neighboring island. Venture to the top of the hill, overlooking Mykonos Town, and admire the 16th century windmills and stunning views. As we are docked overnight, we will have the opportunity to experience the legendary nightlife of Mykonos. The massive nightclubs and beach clubs attract world famous DJs and celebrities. For a more laid back atmosphere, Mykonos town is also full of many bars and restaurants.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every trip sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 25 years, we have perfected the singles vacation experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day. From the moment you join our tour, our local guide is waiting to meet you. Our first day begins with an orientation and the camaraderie builds as we go along. The object of your vacation is trying something new, seeing new places and making new friends. The bonds that develop on our tours are by far the strongest and longest lasting.

Absolutely. Our site is so popular that we guarantee to find a roommate for you or the single room is on us! In order to take advantage of our offer, you must be paid in full by March 5, 2021. Of course, single accommodations are available at an additional rate, which is assessed by the hotel. Single room availability is very limited and reservations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. If sold out, please book the share and wait list yourself when speaking to our reservation specialist.

Roommate matches are based on the same sex, general age range and smoking preference whenever possible, but not guaranteed. STI reserves the right to make any match up until day of departure, including roommate changes once on tour for members who select the Share & Save option.

We highly recommend that our guests contact their roommates in advance. Booked members have access to our private online chat. Meet your roommate as well as the other members on your vacation. Singles Travel International makes every effort to accommodate requests, but does not guarantee the satisfaction or success of a roommate match. It’s the responsibility of the guest to contact his/her roommate and ask the appropriate questions.

Optional pre and post cruise/tour stays are not eligible for the guarantee. Chances are excellent that we’ll find you a match, but if no match found by 30 days prior to departure, member pays the single supplement.

Read more about Roommate Matching on our Frequently Asked Questions found at the Help Center.

Our “Baby Boomer” vacations cater to singles in their 50s and 60s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 45-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages.

We recommend that you meet the members of the STI Community online where you may view and interact with members via “Who’s Going” on every trip page. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation.

A deposit is due at time of reservation. Refer to the Price and Options tab for the amount. Final payment is due in our office by March 5, 2021. A reminder will be emailed to you 14 days prior.

You may choose to pay your remaining balance, via PayPal, or contact our accounting department at 877-765-6874 option 4, with your payment details, to secure your reservation. Be sure there are sufficient funds in debit card accounts to cover your payments by the final payment due date and that we have current expiration dates. Note that on occasion, charges are processed after the final due date, so there is no need to be concerned if you do not see the charges on that day.

Charges may be a combination of Singles Travel International and the cruise line.  Call us if you do not recognize a charge before declining a payment with your credit card company.

If you make a reservation after March 5, full payment is due at time of reservation.

We’ve taken out all the risk so you don’t have to worry about losing your vacation dollars.

After deposit and at any time of cancellation prior to March 5, 2021, your deposit of $500 is applicable to any other Singles Travel International vacation. Reservations rolled forward from 2020 are in full penalty and eligible for credit on a future Singles Travel International vacation but no refund.

All cancellations must be made in writing to Singles Travel International and are subject to per person penalties as follows:

– After deposit and at anytime of cancellation, a minimum charge of $500.00 plus credit card charges will apply in addition to other penalties listed below.

– After March 5, 2021 any cancellations or “no-shows” – 100% penalty.

Note that if you elect to take a roommate and he/she cancels after our cut off date, we will do everything to find a new match. However, if no match is found, the difference in cost for a single cabin/room is the responsibility of the guest who cancels. No refund will be given to the guest who cancels, regardless of cruise or tour company policy as stated above. Singles Travel International is not responsible for costs related to cancellations after our cut off date.

No refund on any unused portions of the trip. After domestic airline tickets are issued, airline cancellation penalties are per the airline’s policy- usually no refund, but may be changeable with a fee and the difference of the new ticket cost. Travel insurance is recommended; carefully consider the purchasing of this important part of your travel.

Allow 90-120 days for a refund as suggested by Celestyal during COVID-19. All refunds will be made via company check.

Cancellations made prior to final payment may transfer deposit to a future vacation. A $25 transfer fee applies and new selection must be made within 30 days.

Our home for the week is the Celestyal Crystal, which is a Greek crewed vessel with a 4.0 rating with Cruise Critic. Read more about the ship

Summer is a great time of year to visit the Greek Islands, when the weather is sunny and warm. During this month, the temperatures are pleasantly warm, as are the average sea temperature. The average temperatures during the day are in the mid 80s with low humidity. Evening temperatures are in the mid 60s to low 70s. There is also a lower chance of rainfall this time of year.

Our vessel is air conditioned.

It is best to drink bottled water while in Greece. You will find that both still and sparkling water are available aboard our cruise and you may carry off to drink during your excursions. Water is purified in the hotels and restaurants, and it is ok to drink beverages with ice wherever we take you on the tour.  More may be purchased as you go and a good way to get small change for bathrooms use and shopping.

The public drinking water in Greece is safe to drink, although it can be slightly brackish in some locales near the sea. For that reason, many people prefer the bottled water available at restaurants, hotels, cafes, food stores, and kiosks.

It is also not necessary to use bottled water to brush your teeth, as the tap water has also been purified.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag, weighing 50 pounds each, for a fee. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

A diplomatic attitude

Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.

– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Slacks, shorts and tops and keep dressing in layers in mind
– Collapsible umbrella (which can double as a sunshade parasol) and/or lightweight raingear.
– Ladies will want to bring a nicer warm wrap, and gentlemen a nicer jacket, for evening wear.
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, money or other anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face, especially for guests in an inside cabin.
– Small, Swiss Army type utility knife. Remember to pack this in your checked luggage!
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of batteries and memory cards.
– Power strip to charge more than one item at a time. Only 1 US outlet in your cabin.
– Alternate outlet on the ship and in our hotels are European, so bring an adapter/converter.

The currency used throughout our cruise is the Euro except in Turkey, where the currency is the Turkish Lira. For up to date exchange rates, visit www.xe.com.

Your credit card will be accepted to settle your bill onboard the Crystal as well as in major shops and restaurants ashore. All onboard purchases are billed with a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account. At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total bill, which may be paid with cash or charged to a credit card. If you are sharing with another guest, no worries. You will each receive a separate statement which may be reviewed at any time on your interactive TV in the cabin.

Note that Celestial is a Greek company and therefore, to avoid international fees imposed on your credit car, bring a card that does not charge international exchange fees.

All countries you will visit have laws against the purchase and export of certain items, including antiquities, national cultural property and certain animal products, especially endangered species (ivory, rhino horn, tortoise shell, coral, feathers, etc.). Additionally, the United States has laws prohibiting the import of certain items, which include many of the same things. You face having your purchase confiscated and/or heavy fines for exporting or importing prohibited items.

On return to the U.S., your baggage is subject to search by U.S. Customs. Currently, you are permitted to bring back $800 of goods duty free. Persons aged 21 or over may also bring in one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes. If you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs or expensive items, it is important to retain all purchase receipts. However, please note that U.S. Customs may not accept a receipt as true cost if it seems unusually low for the estimated value of the item. You may access the regulations and restrictions governing US Customs on their official website, click here to learn more.

Meet Your STI Concierge

Vicki

Hi! My name is Vicki, and I am so happy to have joined the STI family as a Concierge! After having a career as a health-and-fitness writer and then having children, I decided to make a career change in order to pursue my love for travel. For 9 years now, I have designed small-group tours all over Europe and have led tours in Italy, Malta and Croatia. From the moment I began leading tours, being able to share wonderful experiences and make people smile through discovering a new location - or perhaps through discovering something about themselves - I felt as if I had found exactly what I was meant to do! I look forward to making your vacation dreams come true.

What Our Members Are Saying

The Greek Island cruise was a "bucket list" experience.  From the Windmills in Mykonos, to the hillside towns of Santorini, and the amazing Ephesus ruins in Kusadasi, Turkey.  Everyday brought new and exciting sites and sounds.  Sailing on a small ship like the Celestyal Crystal was a treat.  Good service, Fun Toga nights, and an amazing Tour Host...Hats off to June Moore!!   A memorable week of fun and amazing sites!!!   Thanks Singles Travel!
