The menus are crafted by a Michelin-starred chef and include locally-sourced ingredients: from the robust coffee grown on Ecuadoran plantations to the fresh local seafood, almost everything was grown, raised, or caught nearby.

Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are communicated to you via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our weekly program.

Dinner on board the Celebrity Flora is served any time between 6:30 and 9:30 pm. Again, based on each day’s schedule, your Singles Travel International Concierge will communicate dining times via the weekly program. Expect dining times to be around 7:30 pm each evening.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every cruise sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 32 years, we have perfected the singles cruise experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day.

From the moment you arrive at the pre cruise hotel, our Singles Travel International Concierge is waiting to meet you at our Hospitality Desk or Welcome Event.

Our “Baby Boomer” vacations cater to singles in their 50s and 60s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 45-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages.

We recommend that you meet the members of the Singles Travel International Community online where you may view and interact with members via “Who’s Going” on every trip page. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation.

We also invite you to join our 50+ singles community when you are not on the road, before and after your vacation @ www.SingleLife.Today. Membership and most events are free and when you upgrade to Premium, you’ll have access to our live, virtual tours to exotic locations plus save $1000s of dollars on Your Own Space™.

Yes! Singles Travel International is the only singles vacation company that features a travel community where members may send messages to one another at any time. Once you make a reservation, you are invited to post messages on the trip chat, which is great for finding out more about your fellow travel companions, coordinating taxi shares, setting up tours and more. Your trip chat is accessible from the trip page. Ask your Singles Travel International Reservation Guide for assistance.

Our program for 50+ singles also includes live online events and virtual tours plus a virtual Meet & Greet with your travel companions before you depart. View and get reminders for each event on our community page, www.SingleLife.Today.  Be sure to sign up today so that you don’t miss out on anything!

The average daytime temperature for February in the Galápagos varies from 70-85 F. February is the second month of the warm and wet Galápagos season. Visitors should expect plenty of strong tropical sun, with occasional heavy showers, and some humidity.

In February, the rains and sunshine transform the island highlands into a lush paradise, making it perfect for land species such as the giant tortoise, land iguanas, Darwin finches & other land birds, who find food plentiful and are especially active this time of year.

In Quito, the averages are considerably cooler because of the high elevation: average high being 64 F and average low being 49 F.

Due to the environmental protection and regulation of the Galápagos Islands, luggage is more strictly checked and regulated.

The luggage limits for the Celebrity Exclusive flights between Quito and Baltra are as follows:

Checked Luggage:

1 per guest that is equal to or less than 20 Kg / 44 lbs

Carry-On Luggage:

1 purse or personal item to put under the seat in front of you.

1 carry on for overhead bin that is equal to or less than 10 Kg / 22 lbs. All pieces of baggage must measure at most 115 centimeters (45 inches) (height+length+width).

*Special Medical Equipment is permitted in addition to the above.

Guests are asked to pack smartly. All nights are casual attire only. There are no formal nights.

Please abide by the carry-on luggage restrictions. All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. All items must be stored in a clear, 1 quart, zip lock bag.

Just in case your luggage is lost, we strongly recommend that you pack a change of clothing in your carry-on luggage. Do not pack money, travel documents, jewelry or medicine in your checked baggage. Hand carry these essential items!

The Galápagos and Quito are located along the Equator, so be prepared for intense sun exposure.  Comfortable, casual clothes are recommended throughout the trip.

Cruising aboard Celebrity is not too dressy, not too casual. We call it “resort casual”; you’ll call it being on holiday. When you’re ready for dinner, it’s collared shirts and pants or nice jeans for men. Slacks or jeans, dresses, skirts and tops are perfect for women. There are no formal nights.

Days will be a mix of light hiking excursion and snorkeling/beach excursions.  Evenings on board the ship can be cool because of AC, so a light jacket is recommended.

The currency in Ecuador and the Galápagos is the U.S. Dollar, so no exchange is necessary.

Many locations do not accept major credit cards and the availability of ATM machines may be limited.

**Packing Tips:** Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.  This tour includes boat and bus rides.  If you suffer from motion sickness, Dramamine or a similar medication is recommended.

**Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.**

– Reusable water bottle
– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking or hiking shoes for easy to medium terrain
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc)
– Water shoes or secure sandals for snorkeling and walking along beaches
– Clothing for walking/light hiking, beach wear, and casual evening attire for restaurants
– 1-2 bathing suits
– Lightweight rain gear, poncho
– Sunglasses, sun block (30 or higher for face), sun hat, baseball cap or visor
– Hairdryer
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials
– Personal washcloth, Makeup remover towelettes
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, anti-bacterial medication, Dramamine (if prone to motion sickness), neosporin, anti-itch cream.
– Mosquito repellant
– Photography Equipment: Water Protection, extra memory cards and batteries recommended
– Ziplock baggies to carry wet clothing
– Binoculars

The food and water systems of mainland Ecuador are well-developed, but safety is recommended to ensure you have no problems during your trip.  Stick to bottled water for drinking and brushing your teeth while in Quito.

The Celebrity Flora has a legacy of sustainability, with no single-use plastics; each cabin is equipped with a water filtration system for clean drinking water, so please bring a reusable water bottle.

For meals outside the group itinerary, it is recommended to take care or avoid street vendors and small restaurants. Raw fruits and vegetables must be cleaned properly to ensure they are sterilized and not contaminated with untreated water.

110 Volts, 60 cycles which is the same as the U.S.

Onboard the ship, the Electrical current is 110, which is the U.S. standard. We recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.

Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands do not practice daylight savings time and in comparison with the US.  The Galapagos Islands are at UTC -6:00, and Quito is at UTC -5:00.

The currency used in Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands is the U.S. Dollar.

Many locations do not accept major credit cards, and ATM machine availability may be limited. We recommend you bring U.S. dollars in small denominations, $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills that are not too old, worn or ripped for personal purchases and incidentals.

There is not an ATM aboard the Flora.

Your “Final Vacation Details & Meetup Information” including transportation and how to meet up with the group will be available on the YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS button on the left navigation bar on the trip site 21 days prior to trip start date.

Questions and comments after you have reserved your vacation are addressed promptly when you send a message to us at service@singlestravelintl.com.

Our office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. In an emergency after hours, please call 877-765-6874 and press 0 (zero). One of our team members will call you back as soon as possible.

All countries you will visit have laws against the purchase and export of certain items, including antiquities, national cultural property and certain animal products, especially endangered species (ivory, rhino horn, tortoise shell, coral, feathers, etc.). Additionally, the United States has laws prohibiting the import of certain items, which include many of the same things. You face having your purchase confiscated and/or heavy fines for exporting or importing prohibited items.

On return to the U.S., your baggage is subject to search by U.S. Customs. Currently, you are permitted to bring back $800 of goods duty free. Persons aged 21 or over may also bring in one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes. If you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs or expensive items, it is important to retain all purchase receipts. However, please note that U.S. Customs may not accept a receipt as true cost if it seems unusually low for the estimated value of the item. You may access the regulations and restrictions governing US Customs on their official website, click here to learn more.

Meet Your STI Concierge

Vicki

Hi! My name is Vicki, and I am so happy to have joined the STI family as a Concierge! After having a career as a health-and-fitness writer and then having children, I decided to make a career change in order to pursue my love for travel. For 9 years now, I have designed small-group tours all over Europe and have led tours in Italy, Malta and Croatia. From the moment I began leading tours, being able to share wonderful experiences and make people smile through discovering a new location - or perhaps through discovering something about themselves - I felt as if I had found exactly what I was meant to do! I look forward to making your vacation dreams come true.

What Our Members Are Saying

The most life-changing part was not just the country itself which was unbelievable and beauty, but was our hosts Robert and Sarah. They were phenomenal. Robert was an unbelievable foodie, he is a mix of New Yorker and Ecuadorian and really loves his country and really knows good food and really knows the right places to eat. The group dynamics were unbelievable. The whole trip was really life changing for me, I met great people, I had fantastic experiences, and I saw fantastic beauty. I recommend this trip and probably any Singles Travel International trip to anyone who is single and wants to travel with great educated interesting people all over the world.

I have enjoyed the trip very much! First, it’s a unique place and a paradise for people who appreciate nature and is interested in learning, and the trip was very educational.  I also liked that it was very active and included a good amount of physical activity. It seemed to have covered all significant attractions on each island, so the itinerary was well-designed.  The optional excursion to the Bartolomé Island was one of the highlights, so it was a good option/recommendation.
