Day 2 – Friday – August 31, 2018

Our STI Concierge has excellent recommendations for breakfast near our hotel before trekking out on one of our recommendations for the day:

Private, Guided Niagara Day Tour

(Sign up at time of booking by clicking Book Now or Price My Trip)

Pick up at the hotel at 8 am for a full day in Niagara! This tour will include a guided tour of the Niagara Winery with tasting, a boat cruise at the World Famous Niagara Falls (one of the natural wonders of the world!), free time for lunch and exploration of the historic town of Niagara on the lake. Experience the old world charm of British colonial life and visit the Queenston Heights Brock Monument! We will be dropped back off at the hotel around 6 pm.

If you choose not to join the Niagara tour; there is still plenty for you to see and do in Toronto. This is the last weekend of the Canadian National Exhibit; Canada’s largest annual fair and the 5th largest in North America. Enjoy exhibits, live entertainment, sports events, agricultural displays, and a huge carnival with games, food, and amusement rides. Also, this weekend only, enjoy the Canadian International Air Show!

Dinner is at your leisure and our STI Concierge is on hand with options from which to choose.

Day 3 – Saturday – September 1

Start the day meeting for breakfast before we head out and board a double decker bus for a tour of the city! Hop on or off at any of the 21 stops along the route; good for 48 hours! You will receive a free souvenir map of the city so you can plan out your days.

Spend your afternoon, with new friends, visiting the Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Toronto, Casa Loma, Ripley’s Aquarium, Hockey Hall of Fame, or even the Bata Museum of shoes!

Enjoy dinner on your own at one of the many vibrant restaurants downtown or head over to the historical distillery district! After dinner, experience a live theatre show at Players Theatre or the Prince of Wales Theatre.

For the night owls; meet up at the top of the Thompson Hotel for final drinks and stunning views before heading back to the hotel for the night.

Day 4 – Sunday – September 2

Today we will mix it up with brunch at Hot House Café. Indulge on the award-winning brunch buffet which includes: carvery of roast beef and smoked ham, steamed mussels, a custom omelet bar, fresh poached Atlantic salmon, fresh Belgian waffles, an assortment of bakery goods—–and that is just to name a few of their selections! You are really in for a treat with the wide assortment and a live Jazz performance while you eat and mingle.

With a full stomach, enjoy another afternoon at your leisure to continue taking advantage of the HOHO double decker bus tour to hit all the spots you may have missed on Saturday. Check out Necropolis, St. Michael’s Cathedral or Allan Gardens; featuring rare tropical plants.

If you love shopping, then perhaps you want to head to PATH, the world’s largest underground shopping mall, or Eaton’s Centre.

Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate without paying an equivalent fee to the rest of the group that made the reservation with STI. Your credit card on file will automatically be charged.

A deposit is due at time of reservation. Refer to the Price and Options tab for the amount. Final payment is due in our office by June 1, 2018. A reminder will be emailed to you 7 days prior to due date and your card will automatically be charged. If you make a reservation after June 1, full payment will be automatically charged at time of reservation and penalties will apply.

Yes. All cancellations must be made in writing to Singles Travel International and are subject to per person penalties as follows:

*Between June 1 and July 26, 2018 – $300 penalty applies.

Note that if you elect to take a roommate and he/she cancels after our cutoff date, we will do everything to find a new match. However, if no match is found, the difference in cost for a single cabin/room is the responsibility of the guest who cancels. No refund will be given to the guest who cancels, regardless of cruise or tour company policy as stated above. Singles Travel International is not responsible for costs related to cancellations after our cutoff date.

In order to accommodate singles from all over the world, our tours and cruises are priced as land only. Therefore, airfare is additional. Singles Travel International is a licensed ticketing agency and oftentimes has low negotiated fares.

To make the most of your weekend, we recommend that you arrive by 3pm on Thursday August 30, and depart after 12 noon on Monday, September 3, 2018. Note that Toronto is served by the Toronto Pearson International Airport or Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

Absolutely. Our site is so popular that we guarantee to find a roommate for you or the single room is on us! In order to take advantage of our offer, you must be paid in full by February 23, 2018. We may still be able to match you after this date, call us for options. Of course, single accommodations are available at an additional rate.

Optional pre and post cruise/tour stays are not eligible for the guarantee. Chances are excellent that we’ll find you a match, but if no match found by 50 days prior to departure, member pays the single supplement.

Please contact your preferred carrier directly to make your reservation. If Singles Travel International issues a promotional economy fare, granting of frequent flyer credit is entirely at the airline’s discretion. If the flights are eligible, to ensure you earn frequent flyer credit from the airline, give your frequent flyer account number when you check in for your flights. In addition, save your boarding passes and the passenger receipt from your airline ticket. You may need to submit these to the airline (not to Singles Travel International) to claim any credit allowed.

The Westin Harbour Castle is right on the waterfront, located on the harbor in Downtown Toronto. It is within fair walking distance to many of the amenities and attractions the city has to offer.

Standard rooms (330 square feet) are non-smoking, have 2 Double Beds or 1 King Bed, a working desk, cable with pay per view movies and coffee makers.

Plus, your STI Concierge Team will be on hand to take care of your every need. It’s not only what we do, it’s who we are!

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every trip sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 24 years, we have perfected the singles vacation experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day. From the moment you join our tour, our heroes, the STI Travel Concierge team is waiting to meet you. Our first day begins with a get together and the camaraderie builds as we go along.

Our “All Ages” vacations cater to 40+ and our average age range is 45 to 65. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee the ratio or ages.

Gorgeous! You may expect sunny days with daytime temperatures to be between 60-70F. Evening temperatures are generally in the low 60s. Rain isn’t common at this time but always possible, so come prepared with rain gear and a jacket for evenings.

There is no baggage limit at the hotel.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag, weighing 40 pounds, for a fee. In addition, you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

Remember to bring comfortable shoes and a jacket for evenings. Casual attire is acceptable throughout the weekend. However, you may want to bring something dressy for our farewell dinner at the CN Tower.

Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don`t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don`t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.

Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.

– A great attitude and an open mind.
– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Collapsible umbrella (which can double as a sunshade parasol) and/or lightweight raingear.
– Ladies may wish to bring an evening wrap and gentlemen a nicer jacket for evening wear.
– Sweater or light jacket.
– Jeans
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face.
– Small, Swiss Army type utility knife, great for opening wine, packages etc. Remember to pack this in your checked luggage!
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of film and extra batteries.

Travel Insurance is available through Travel Guard and in addition to direct access immediately upon completing your purchase, you will receive a quote from Travel Guard regarding travel insurance after reserving your vacation. Your Final Vacation Details & Meetup Info document, which is posted on the FAQ tab 14 days prior to departure, will include a phone contact number for the Solstice. Instructions on international dialing codes will be provided. We suggest you leave a copy of this with your family.

What Our Members Are Saying

The trip was a lot of fun. Chicago is very big and interesting. The highlight of the trip had to be our STI Concierge, Mary Delia. She is amazing as a travel guide and should have her own travel TV show. She entertained us and kept us on track for the entire weekend. Everything was outstanding and everyone seemed content.

I will have to admit that initially I had some trepidations as to what to expect. But all that dissolved and melted away ( or should I say blown away!). Thank you so much for all the little extra "hoop-la" about Danielle's birthday---it made it very "special" for her. I am already checking out your new list of trips---- most of all saving my $$$$ so that I can do this again & again. Once again, thank you for such a wonderful and fun trip !
