Tour Ends in Québec City December 3, 2023
Day 1 – Thursday – November 30
Welcome Dinner
Singles Travel International members arrive at the Jean Lesage International Airport and transportation from the airport to the hotel is on your own (refer to the FAQ tab). Check into the Delta Hotel Québec (after 3 p.m.). If you arrive early, the hotel will store your bags and you are free to explore the city on your own. Check in with your Singles Travel International Concierge at the hotel this afternoon, meet your fellow travelers, sign up for tours and get oriented on your first day in this spectacular old city. This evening we’ll get together for an included drink before we enjoy a delicious dinner at a nearby restaurant with local fare. Meet and mingle with new friends as we plan our weekend together!
Day 2 – Friday – December 1
Breakfast Club™ at our hotel. Your Singles Travel International Concierge will have the time listed in our customized weekend program.
Our group will meet in the hotel lobby after breakfast to join our local expert on a 3 hour guided tour of Old Québec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to learn about the city’s rich, French heritage. We begin our exploration at the fortifications that surround the cobblestone streets, old stone buildings, and many small churches. Continue to the beautiful Plains of Abraham, where the famous Battle of Quebec between the French and
English armies took place in 1759. Enjoy views of picturesque Place d’Armes and admire Le Château Frontenac, perched elegantly atop Cape Diamond.
The afternoon is free to explore on our own with new friends and perhaps delight in some of the local cuisine before our Christmas Market Tour tonight.
We’ll all depart on a tour of the Christmas Market and discover a magical European wonderland nestled right in the heart of Québec City. Our expert guide will enlighten us with wisdom and anecdotes as we pass by the brightly decorated wooden kiosks, the perfect place to find a unique gift, sample mulled wine and take some selfies in the colored lights and festively decorated streets.
Day 3 – Saturday – December 2
Breakfast Club™ at our hotel this morning with a little extra time to sleep in after our late night at the Market and partying in town.
OPTIONAL Half Day, Ancestral Québec & Montmorency Falls Tour (Depart at 12:30 PM, 4.5 hours duration, $79) – Complimentary to Premium Members!

After our tour today, we’ll gather at one of the finest, gourmet restaurants in Québec for a sumptuous, 3-course, farewell dinner with wine. What a wonderful way to end our weekend, sharing what we loved the most, before we had back home for the holidays.
Day 4 – Sunday – December 3
Breakfast Club™ at our hotel this morning before checking out of our hotel. Super shuttles are available for your transport back to the airport (on own). We Hope you enjoyed your stay in festive Québec City!

Although the temps will be chilly, December is a great time to go because there are less tourists, prices are lower, there’s lots to do both inside and out and there’s a real magic to the city – especially with so many Christmas lights and beautiful decorations. The average temperature in Quebec City in December for a typical day ranges from a high of 24°F (-4°C) to a low of 9°F (-13°C). Note that the city has set up “warming stations” through out the old quarter so that visitors may enjoy and stay warm. Snowfall is likely!
There is no baggage limit at the hotel.
Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag, weighing 40 pounds, for a fee. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.
We’ll do our best to help you stay warm with the famous mulled wines and ask that you bring warm clothing including a winter coat, hat, gloves, a scarf and winter boots. Casual attire is acceptable throughout the weekend. However, you may want to bring something dressy for our group dinners.
Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.
Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.
– A great attitude and an open mind.
– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in winter boots.
– Winter coat
– Hat, gloves, scarf
– Sunglasses – sun reflecting on snow may be intense
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep
medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of
loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face.
– Small, Swiss Army type utility knife. Remember to pack this in your checked luggage!
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book (iphone, blackberry) for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of film and extra batteries.
Insurance: Travel Insurance is not mandatory, but, based on our experience, we highly recommend it. In addition to direct access immediately upon completing your purchase, you will receive a quote from Travel Guard regarding travel insurance after reserving your vacation.
When selecting a travel insurance policy, we recommend that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses including emergency evacuation and repatriation. We also strongly recommend that the policy cover personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.
If you have any questions, Travel Guard professional, expert agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call us, if you have not received your quote within 3 days, or CLICK HERE to go directly to Travel Guard and request a policy quote. It only takes a few minutes.

Meet Your STI Concierge
Miriam
Hello, my name is Miriam. I am a Swedish transplant that moved to New York from Stockholm in 2004 and I live in the beautiful Mid-Hudson Valley, about 90 miles north of NYC. I am truly the happiest when I get to meet new people and introduce them to the wonders and beauty of our world. I love to hear the “wows”, “ooohs” and “aaaahs” from my guests.
With my European background and upbringing, paired with my 20 years of experience in the U.S. I am uniquely positioned to bridge the culture and sentiments from both sides of the Atlantic.
My favorite places are many, and my heart is divided between Scandinavia, Spain, France and of course in the USA.
In my spare time, I love sailing, DIY projects on my house (there are many!), crafting and get lost in “rabbit holes” online when I research and prepare for upcoming tours.
I truly believe that we are better when we travel. Our senses are tickled and teased by new sights, smells, flavors, and sounds – and what is better than that? In my world, traveling is the best education and inspiration regardless of age.
