We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by Singles Travel International. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate.

Transportation between the airport and our hotel is not included in the price. Taxis are available for all transportation and may be acquired outside the baggage claim area. Another option is the New Orleans Airport Shuttle. Rates and schedules are listed on their site, click here to learn more.

In order to accommodate singles from all over the world, our tours and cruises are priced as land/cruise only. Therefore, airfare is additional. Singles Travel International is a licensed ticketing agency and oftentimes has low negotiated fares.

Please schedule your flight to arrive in New Orleans (MSY), before 3:00 p.m. on February 3, 2024 and depart after 12 noon from New Orleans on February 11, 2024.

Please contact your preferred carrier directly to make your reservation. If Singles Travel International issues a promotional economy fare, granting of frequent flyer credit is entirely at the airline’s discretion. If the flights are eligible, to ensure you earn frequent flyer credit from the airline, give your frequent flyer account number when you check in for your flights. You may need to submit these to the airline (not to Singles Travel International) to claim any credit allowed.

Our comprehensive program includes Ultimate Unlimited Beverage Package including 20% Gratuities, $200 Shore Excursion Credit and $75 Onboard Credit for a total cruise savings of $1,190!

You are responsible for airfare, airport transfers in New Orleans, shore excursions, casino gambling, shopping, specialty restaurant dining and gratuities to your Singles Travel International Concierge ($15 per day recommended).

Cabin incidentals such as laundry, phone calls are at an additional cost and all items will appear on your final billing statement at the end of the cruise. You may also be charged a delivery fee, imposed by our vendors for special delivery of documents including international and expedited documents.

NCL adds a mandatory $14.50 per person, per day gratuity to your shipboard account. Please advise your Singles Travel International vacation specialist in advance if you’d like to add this charge to your final payment.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every cruise sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 30 years, we have perfected the singles cruise experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day.

From the moment you arrive at the pre cruise hotel, our Singles Travel International Concierge is waiting to meet you at our Hospitality Desk or Welcome Event.

Our first evening begins with a private, welcome aboard cocktail party followed by daily activities both onboard the ship as well as in each port. We dine together each evening in an open seating arrangement so that you have a chance to meet as many people as possible.

Our affordable Premium Memberships allows solo travelers the ability to have Your Own Space™️ for a lot less so that you never have to share. Review the special Premium Member rates on the Book Now page. You may join at the same time that you purchase your vacation or click here to learn more and purchase your membership.

Roommate matches are available by request if you already have a traveling companion. Contact us at 877-SOLO-TRIP to speak with one our teammates to make your reservation.

Our “Baby Boomer” vacations cater to singles in their 50s and 60s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 45-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages.

We recommend that you meet the members of the STI Community online where you may view and interact with members via “Who’s Going” on every trip page. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation.

Let’s get started planning the fun that you’ll have on your cruise! Click here for a link to the Norwegian Cruise Line’s shore excursions for our journey. Log into your  Norwegian Cruise Line account to reserve excursions for your cruise.  With Singles Travel International, you have been rewarded with $50 per port shore excursion credit.

Our cruise package includes a $50 shore excursion credit per port, per cabin and the credit works as follows:

When members book their excursions once onboard , the $50 shore excursion credit will be deducted directly from the cost of the shore excursion itself (i.e. if the shore excursion retails for $100, the balance paid by the member would be $50 after the $50 shore excursion credit is applied).
When members pre-book their shore excursions , a $50 onboard credit will be applied to your NCL onboard account for each excursion booked instead of being deducted from the cost of the excursion.  Only 1 credit allowed per port. All applicable credits will be available for use toward purchases of items such as excursions, spa treatments, shop purchases, specialty dinners and other a la carte items available for sale, once the member is onboard the Breakaway. (some exclusions listed below will apply).
Onboard Credit (OBC) may be used for all purchases except towards:

  • Onboard service charges (gratuities), manual/ additional gratuities including all Gratuity vouchers
  • CruiseNext Deposits
  • Foreign Exchange Transactions & Currency Exchange
  • Pre-purchased activities on NCL website
  • Starbucks Card purchase and reload of card (other exceptions may apply)
  • Charitable donations
Note that Onboard Credit (OBC) has no monetary value, is non-transferable and any unused amounts are not refunded at the end of the cruise.

You’ll experience a thoughtful, contemporary design, a comfortable layout, and best of all, pricing tailored to you. You’ll also enjoy exclusive key card access to the Studios Lounge: your own private spot to meet up with friends, have coffee or make plans for the day. • Private access to the Studios Complex & Studio Lounge
  • Innovative bathroom design – separate sink and shower provide more personal space
  • Window to the corridor – you see out but others can’t see in

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. If sharing a cabin, we recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room. The Singles Travel International group dining reservations for dinner each evening begin at 7:30 – 8:00 p.m. We reserve seating for the entire group for dinner and use a round robin seating plan. Members are assigned a place for the first night and then may sit with whomever they’d like, at any one of our group tables, for the balance of the cruise.

Singles Travel International also hosts our Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of 2 locations, which are determined via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you via our Weekly Singles Travel International Program.

See also “What are the costs and menus items associated with Specialty Restaurants?” below.

Aboard the Breakaway, there are over 25 themed bars and à la carte, specialty restaurants in which to dine and play.

Add (check boxes) your VIP reservation request when you reserve your cruise on the Singles Travel International website.  Signing up early ensures that you the best chance to enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles, once onboard the ship. The actual date and time will be confirmed by your Concierge once onboard.

You may pay as you go or use your dining package, purchased directly from the cruise line, to pay for this dinner reservation according to their terms. Singles Travel International VIP reservations are generally between 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Our Singles Travel International Weekly Program will present a Singles Only Dining & Show Schedule so that you are informed of all exclusive, singles only activities. On occasion, a given restaurant may be fully booked and Singles Travel International does not guarantee reservations. Prices listed on our site are subject to change by the cruise line at any time.

View SPECIALTY DINNER menus and prices so that you are informed before making a VIP Reservation request on our site.  Charges are mostly à la carte, approximately $30-$100 per dinner experience and will be charged to your cabin account at time of consumption or deducted from your Dining Package.

NCL’S SPECIALTY DINING PACKAGE TERMS: Specialty Dining Package dinners at à la carte venues include 1 entree and unlimited appetizers, sides and desserts.  An additional charge applies for a second entree.  Read the FAQs and Terms & Conditions for more details. Note that when you select a VIP reservation on the Singles Travel International website, we will make your reservation for you!

The average daytime temperature for all the islands is 85-90 degrees and evenings average 75-80 degrees. Expect high humidity.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag, weighing 50 pounds each, for a fee. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

Freestyle Cruising is not too dressy, not too casual. We call it “resort casual”, you’ll call it being on holiday. When you’re ready for dinner, it’s collared shirts and pants or nice jeans for men. Slacks or jeans, dresses, skirts and tops are perfect for women. If you want to dress up and add a little glamour when you dine out, feel free. Swimwear, T-shirts and shorts are not allowed in the restaurants after 5:30. An exception will be made with respect to shorts in the buffet and outdoor restaurants. Presentable jeans may be worn in restaurants in the evenings with the exception of a designated “dress up” restaurant. Daytime wear is casual and comfortable for touring/shopping. As the temperatures are warm in the Caribbean, you’ll prefer summer wear.

There really isn’t a “formal” night on NCL. They call it Captain’s night and our group dresses a bit better than the rest of the crowd, but it isn’t mandatory. NCL does not promote it as formal, they are strictly “Freestyle” which means, dress up if you want, but if not, that’s ok too. Having a fancy dress or suit along just in case you need it is a good idea, but absolutely optional.

Our Concierge Team will create several theme nights and costumes are recommended, although optional. More information about themes will be disclosed closer to departure via our chat and direct emails from our Concierge Team.

Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.

Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.

– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Ladies will want to bring a nicer warm wrap and gentlemen a nicer jacket, for evening wear. Evenings aboard the ship are sometimes cool due to the air conditioning, so a cover up is essential if you tend to get cold easily.
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor. Sun is much stronger in Caribbean than at home.
– Insulated Coffee-To-Go cup for more java to enjoy poolside.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Power strip for all your gadgets – most cabins have only one outlet.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, Neosporin or other anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face, especially for guests in an inside cabin.
– Small, Swiss Army type utility knife. Remember to pack this in your checked luggage!
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book (iphone/smart phone) for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of film and extra batteries. If you are bringing a digital camera, you should bring extra memory chips.

Travel Insurance is not mandatory, but, based on our 30 year experience assisting singles in need, we highly recommend it. In addition to direct access immediately upon completing your purchase, you will receive a quote from Travel Guard regarding travel insurance after reserving your vacation.

When selecting a travel insurance policy, we recommend that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses including emergency evacuation and repatriation. We also strongly recommend that the policy cover personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.

If you have any questions, Travel Guard professional, expert agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call us, if you have not received your quote within 3 days, or CLICK HERE to go directly to Travel Guard and request a policy quote. It only takes a few minutes.

Questions and comments after you have reserved your vacation are addressed promptly when you send a message to us at service@singlestravelintl.com.

The currency used throughout our cruise is the US Dollar. Your credit card will be accepted to settle your bill onboard the ship, as well as in major shops and restaurants ashore. All onboard purchases are billed with a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account. At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total bill, which can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card. If you are sharing with another guest, no worries. You will each receive a separate statement, which may be reviewed at any time on your interactive TV in the cabin.

Your “Final Vacation Details & Meetup Information” including transportation and how to meet up with the group will be available on the YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS button on the left navigation bar on the trip site 21 days prior to trip start date.

Questions and comments after you have reserved your vacation are addressed promptly when you send a message to us at service@singlestravelintl.com.

Our office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. In an emergency after hours, please call 877-765-6874 and press 0 (zero). One of our team members will call you back as soon as possible.

All countries you will visit have laws against the purchase and export of certain items, including antiquities, national cultural property and certain animal products, especially endangered species (ivory, rhino horn, tortoise shell, coral, feathers, etc.). Additionally, the United States has laws prohibiting the import of certain items, which include many of the same things. You face having your purchase confiscated and/or heavy fines for exporting or importing prohibited items.

On return to the U.S., your baggage is subject to search by U.S. Customs. Currently, you are permitted to bring back $800 of goods duty free. Persons aged 21 or over may also bring in one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes. If you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs or expensive items, it is important to retain all purchase receipts. However, please note that U.S. Customs may not accept a receipt as true cost if it seems unusually low for the estimated value of the item. You may access the regulations and restrictions governing US Customs on their official website,  click here to learn more.

Meet Your STI Concierge

Miriam

Hello, my name is Miriam. I am a Swedish transplant that moved to New York from Stockholm in 2004 and I live in the beautiful Mid-Hudson Valley, about 90 miles north of NYC. I am truly the happiest when I get to meet new people and introduce them to the wonders and beauty of our world. I love to hear the “wows”, “ooohs” and “aaaahs” from my guests.

With my European background and upbringing, paired with my 20 years of experience in the U.S. I am uniquely positioned to bridge the culture and sentiments from both sides of the Atlantic.

My favorite places are many, and my heart is divided between Scandinavia, Spain, France and of course in the USA.

In my spare time, I love sailing, DIY projects on my house (there are many!), crafting and get lost in “rabbit holes” online when I research and prepare for upcoming tours.

I truly believe that we are better when we travel. Our senses are tickled and teased by new sights, smells, flavors, and sounds – and what is better than that? In my world, traveling is the best education and inspiration regardless of age.

What Our Members Are Saying

A cruise to Alaska has always been on my top ten list. This August, my trip on the NCL Bliss with so many STI friends was the best possible way to enjoy the scenery and the company.  There were many options to explore Alaska from speed boating through the fjords to whale watching to learning about crabs and then feasting on them with friends. If you are hesitant to take a group trip – don’t be. On NCL cruises, STI offers many options from finding you a good roommate to setting you up in a single-occupancy studio (a great choice!).  Sharing meals with new friends is a lot of fun and getting to know them one-on-one is a great way to make new lifelong friends and travel companions. The trip was a lot of fun. Chicago is very big and interesting. The highlight of the trip had to be our STI Concierge, Mary Delia. She is amazing as a travel guide and should have her own travel TV show. She entertained us and kept us on track for the entire weekend. Everything was outstanding and everyone seemed content.
