*Optional Pre Tour Package in Salt Lake City – May 4, 2019
Flights can arrive in Salt Lake City (SLC) at any time, but in order to take full advantage of your time in this unique city, we recommend you schedule your flight to arrive before 3:00 p.m. Transfer to the hotel is on your own. Once checked in and settled in your room, the rest of the afternoon and night is yours to enjoy! Meet the group for an optional Welcome Drink at 7:00 p.m, at the hotel bar, and meet some of your travel companions for the week. The rest of the night is yours to explore Salt Lake City!
Sunday, May 5, 2019 (B,D)
The following morning, enjoy breakfast in the hotel and pack up before we take a short, 10-minute walk, to board a trolley for our 90-minute tour of Salt Lake City! We will see SLC’s historical districts, landmarks and attractions with plenty of stops for photo opportunities. When the tour is over, we will walk back to the hotel and check out before our transfer arrives.
MAIN TOUR- Day 1 – Sunday – May 5 (D)
Flights should arrive in Salt Lake City (SLC) no later than 1:00 p.m. We will be met by our guide and load up the bus for our 4 hour transfer to Moab. Along the scenic route, we will learn the history of the areas where we will be traveling, including the interesting history of the Mormon settlers that homesteaded the Western United States. This will give us some context as to what we can expect in some of the areas we will be visiting.
Once we arrive in Moab, we can check in to our hotel and freshen up before our Welcome Dinner. This is the perfect opportunity to mix and mingle with your fellow adventurous singles!
Overnight in Moab.
Day 2 – Monday – May 6 (B)
We wake early, for breakfast, before our visit to Arches National Park, the site of more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches. Here, we will hike out to the largest arch span in the world, Landscape Arch, and visit other arch locations that have been made famous by “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.” Arches National Park holds several beautiful arch spans, including Balanced Rock and Delicate point, that we will get the chance to see.
We will return to Moab, in the afternoon, for lunch on our own. Once we have refueled, we will head to Canyonlands National Park for some amazing views. The stunning desert landscape is carved out by the Colorado River and some would say it rivals the Grand Canyon in it’s beauty.
The rest of the evening is ours to enjoy freely, with dinner recommendations from our guide, of course.
Overnight in Moab.
Day 3 – Tuesday – May 7 (B)
Rise and shine, for breakfast, this morning before our adventure on the magnificent Colorado River on your choice of either a paddle raft or inflatable kayak. Beginning at Hittle Bottom, we will float down the calm waters with an astounding backdrop of Fisher Towers. The relaxing first part of our journey allows some time to learn about the unique geology of Castle Valley. Once we have grown accustomed to the river, it is time to have some fun and pick up the pace as we hear the whitewater, of Onion Creek Rapid, just around the bend! Professor Creek, Cloudburst and Ida Gulch rapids will follow, continuing the excitement, with plenty of time to swim and relax before our float ends in Rocky Rapid.
Once our float has ended, we will head back to town and have the rest of the day, and night, to explore Moab.
Overnight in Moab.
Day 4 – Wednesday – May 8 (B)
After breakfast, we will leave for Capitol Reef National Park, known for it’s layered golden sandstone, canyons and unique rock formations. Upon arrival, we will hike down the Grand Wash, a famous gorge through the upper portion of the Waterpocket Fold, to Scenic Road, where we will have a bus waiting to pick us up. Next we will make our way to Gifford House, which depicts the typical rural farm homes of Utah in the early 1900s. Here, you can purchase a pie and have a picnic, with new friends, as you take in the surrounding beauty. After Lunch, we will visit the petroglyphs, rock art created by ancient Native Americans, and stroll to Panorama Point for breathtaking views.
This evening, we will make our way to Torrey where we will have free time for dinner, on our own.
Overnight in Torrey.
Day 5 – Thursday – May 9 (B)
Today, after breakfast, we travel to Bryce Canyon, across the Escalante Grand Staircase. We will arrive in the late morning, perfect timing for some hiking in the canyon. If you are feeling adventurous, you can hike the 600 feet, down in to the canyon, to the valley below. Just remember, those who hike down will have to hike the 600 feet back up! A less strenuous option would be a hike along the walk, between Inspiration point, along the rim.
Enjoy the gorgeous views of the spire-shaped red rock formations all around us. The rest of the day and night is yours to explore.
Overnight in Bryce.
Day 6 – Friday – May 10 (B)
Sunrise at Bryce is a must, so expect to rise early for breathtaking views you won’t forget. We will board the bus about 20 minutes to sunrise and head in to the park, towards the Hoodoos of Bryce. After Sunrise, we will return to the hotel, for breakfast, before we load our luggage on to the bus and make our way to Zion Canyon for the day.
We will enter the beautiful park from the east side, enjoying views of the petrified dunes, and stop at checkerboard mesa. Lunch is on our own, at the lodge, before we head to the Emerald Pools, complete with stunning waterfalls and hanging gardens. We will then enjoy a fun, 2 mile, hike to the start of the narrows and back. The views are well worth it.
When our adventure in Zion Canyon is over, we will journey on to Springdale for the night.
Day 7 – Saturday – May 11 (B, D)
This morning, after breakfast, we will take a drive up to Kolob Terrace for a view of Zion that is seldom seen by visitors. Take in the beauty before we push forward on our trek to Las Vegas. Along the route, we will make a small detour, to the Valley of Fire, where we will take in the gorgeous views of some of the best, and most unique, rock formations. The Valley of Fire is Nevada’s first state park and known to be one of the most beautiful. Have your cameras ready!
We will arrive in Las Vegas in the late afternoon and the time is yours to enjoy before our farewell dinner. There will be plenty of options tonight, in the Entertainment Capital of the World, so venture out with new friends and see what the City of Lights has to offer!

Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate without paying an equivalent fee to the rest of the group that made the reservation with STI. Your credit card on file will automatically be charged.
Yes! Singles Travel International is the only singles vacation company that features a travel community where members may send messages to one another at any time. Once you make a reservation, you are invited to post messages on the trip chat which is great for finding out more about your fellow travel companions, coordinating taxi shares, setting up tours and more. Your trip chat is accessible from the trip page. Ask your STI Reservation Therapist for assistance.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every trip sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 24 years, we have perfected the singles vacation experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day. From the moment you join our tour, our heroes, the STI Travel Concierge team is waiting to meet you. Our first day begins with a get together and the camaraderie builds as we go along.
Our “Baby Boomer” vacations cater to singles in their 50s and 60s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 45-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages.
We recommend that you meet the members of the STI Community online where you may view and interact with members via “Who’s Going” on every trip page. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation.
We encourage our members to complete their personal profiles including a photo. Knowing who’s on the trip in advance makes socializing before and during your vacation easier and more fun.
