When you’re planning your activities, think on your feet. Do what the locals do: walk and take public transportation. Whatever you choose, you are in the company of other like minded single travelers.
Note that our program was designed with the minimal amount of bus time to save you money. Therefore, when not on tour, we will use public transportation or Big Bus at points where a bus is not worth the cost, plus it’s so much more fun! We hope you understand.
Day 1 – Friday, May 25: San Francisco
Flights arrive at San Francisco International Airport and transportation to Hilton Parc 55, in Union Square, is on your own. Check-in (after 3 pm) with our Singles Travel International Concierge upon arrival. Here, you can meet your fellow travelers, sign up for optional tours and ask about the must-sees of The Golden City!
After settling in your room, we will meet for an optional drink in Parc 55’s Cable 55 Bar, before a brisk 5 minute walk to dinner. We will kick off the weekend with a 4-course dinner at Puccini & Pinetti; voted one of the Top 10 Italian Restaurants by CitySearch.

We will start off with their signature Bruschetta appetizer, followed by your choice of salad and entrée. Save room for the final course of Tiramisu! Soda, coffee and tea is included (additional drinks or wine will be at your expense). This is a great time to mingle with the group and make some plans to explore the city together!
After dinner; walk a block up to Johnny Foley’s Irish House for a Dueling Piano Show or enjoy a nightcap at any of the lively hotspots within walking distance to the hotel!
Day 2 – Saturday, May 26: San Francisco-Historic Cable Car City Tour
Good morning! Meet your new friends at the breakfast buffet (at own expense) or find some local brew before we head out and board a The Big Bus for a professionally guided tour! Hop on or off along the route, if something sparks your interest, and you can be sure the next bus is already on its way to continue your tour.
The day is ours to enjoy so take full advantage of the 20 great stops around the city; each within a short walk of fun and exciting attractions. Explore Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, or Golden State Park! Hop off at Alamo Square and take the short walk to see “The Painted Ladies,” San Francisco’s famous row of Victorians. Visit world famous Lombard Street, “The crookedest street,” and stroll the winding roads.
The evening is at leisure but STI has a great recommendation: Dinner at North Beach, followed by a show at Beach Blanket Babylon, the world’s longest running musical venue. Dinner and the show is at your expense but let us know if you are interested, at time of booking, so we can verify available space and group rates. The shows are popular and book up fast!
If Beach Blanket Babylon doesn’t pique your interest, there are plenty of bars, restaurants and comedy clubs in the area. After dinner at one of the many waterfront restaurants, you could head over to Fisherman’s Wharf and experience the famous Irish Coffee at Buena Vista Café or stroll along Pier 39, where you will spot many talented street performers and local musicians!
Day 3 – Sunday, May 27: Leisure Day and Dinner Cruise on the Bay
Meet up with new friends for breakfast you head out to enjoy a full day of exploring The City by the Bay.
Hop on a Big Bus again and head towards some of the sites you missed on Saturday. History lovers may want to take a ferry and tour Alcatraz Island, once home to Al Capone, and the notorious prison. Those of you looking to immerse yourselves in nature may choose to hike the trails at Land’s End. Visit the Museum of Modern Art, the Exploratorium, or walk around the marketplace in the historic Ferry Building.
Perhaps you prefer an afternoon of shopping? Stick around Union Square for upscale boutiques, art galleries or Westfield Centre. Check out the unique specialty shops at Pier 39 where you can enjoy stunning views of the bay, the bridge and sea-lions sunbathing on the pier.
However you choose to spend your last day, members should plan to meet, by 6:30pm, at Pier 3, in Embarcadero to board the yacht for our Farewell Dinner Cruise. We will board at 6:30pm and enjoy a 4-course seated dinner, a 2.5 hour cruise around the bay, live entertainment and dancing; all with the Bay Bridge Lights and Golden Gate Bridge as our backdrop! There will be wine, beer and cocktails available for purchase.
After dinner, we will have an optional nightcap at The View; the bar atop the Marriott, which offers breathtaking, panoramic views of San Francisco. This is a short, 10 minute walk, back to Parc 55.
Day 4 – Monday – May 28:
Enjoy a local breakfast or the buffet at our hotel before checkout at 11am. Our STI Concierge will be in the lobby to assist with departures, stop by to say goodbye to new friends before you begin your journey back home.
Transport to San Francisco International Airport will be at your own expense. Wishing you a safe journey and we promise to stay in touch!
Once you make your online reservation, an STI reservation specialist will contact you to review and recommend additional services. Depend on them for assistance with airfare, proper protection, pre and post tour services. Once that step is complete, you will receive a final invoice from us confirming your reservation details.

The tour begins in San Francisco at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 and ends at 11:00 a.m. in San Francisco on Monday, May 28, 2018. Therefore the trip is 3 nights/4 days. Add our extra night, Thursday May 24, 2018, making your weekend getaway 4 nights/5 days.
A deposit is due at time of reservation and will automatically be charged to your card. If you make a reservation after February 23, 2018, full, non-refundable payment will be automatically charged at time of reservation and penalties will apply.
Yes. All cancellations must be made in writing to Singles Travel International and are subject to per person penalties as follows:
After deposit and at anytime of cancellation, a minimum charge of $75.00 plus credit card charges will apply in addition to other penalties listed below.
Between February 23 and April 4, 2018 – $300 penalty applies.
After April 5, 2018 – 100% penalty applies.
Note that if you elect to take a roommate and he/she cancels after our cut off date, we will do everything to find a new match. However, if no match is found, the difference in cost for a single cabin/room is the responsibility of the guest who cancels. No refund will be given to the guest who cancels, regardless of cruise or tour company policy as stated above. Singles Travel International is not responsible for costs related to cancellations after our cut off date.
We recommend that you arrive at Hilton Parc 55 San Francisco by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018. Check-in begins at 3pm. We will meet for an optional drink at the hotel bar, around 6, before heading to dinner right before 7pm.

Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by STI. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate without paying an equivalent fee to the rest of the group that made the reservation with STI. Your credit card on file will automatically be charged.
In order to accommodate singles from all over the world, our tours and cruises are priced as land only. Therefore, airfare is additional. Singles Travel International is a licensed ticketing agency and oftentimes has lower fares.
To make the most of your weekend, we recommend that you arrive by 3pm on Friday, May 25 and depart after 12 noon on Monday, May 28, 2018. Note that San Francisco is served by the San Francisco International Airport.
The least expensive transportation is the SuperShuttle. The shared cost is approximately $17 each way (gratuity not included). Taxis are available outside each terminal and rates are approximately $45 each way per car. Post a message on the chat and find another member to share a ride. Uber rates are approximately $26-$33.
Our tour does not include airfare, transfers, lunches and 1 dinner. You are responsible for alcoholic beverages, incidentals such as laundry and phone calls, WIFI in your room, plus gratuities to STI staff ($10-$15 per day) and local guides.
Absolutely. Our site is so popular that we guarantee to find a roommate for you or the single room is on us! In order to take advantage of our offer, you must be paid in full by February 23, 2018. We may still be able to match you after this date, call us for options. Of course, single accommodations are available at an additional rate.
Please contact your preferred carrier directly to make your reservation. If Singles Travel International issues a promotional economy fare, granting of frequent flyer credit is entirely at the airline’s discretion. If the flights are eligible, to ensure you earn frequent flyer credit from the airline, give your frequent flyer account number when you check in for your flights. In addition, save your boarding passes and the passenger receipt from your airline ticket. You may need to submit these to the airline (not to Singles Travel International) to claim any credit allowed.
Parc 55 is located in the heart of Union Square, with plenty of vibrant bars, restaurants and shopping and within walking distance to 2 of the HOHO Classic Cable Car stops.
Standard rooms (295 square feet) are non-smoking, have 2 Double Beds or 1 King Bed, a working desk, cable with pay per view movies and coffee makers.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every trip sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 24 years, we have perfected the singles vacation experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day. From the moment you join our tour, our heroes, the STI Travel Concierge team is waiting to meet you. Our first day begins with a get together and the camaraderie builds as we go along.
Our “All Ages” vacations cater to 40+ and our average age range is 45 to 65. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee the ratio or ages.
Gorgeous! You may expect sunny days with daytime temperatures to be between 55-60F Evening temperatures are generally in the mid 50s. This is the start of the dry season. Rain at this time is rare but always possible, so come prepared with rain gear and a jacket for evenings.
There is no baggage limit at the hotel.
Currently, most airlines will assess a fee for checked luggage. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.
Remember to bring comfortable shoes and a jacket for evenings. Casual attire is acceptable throughout the weekend. However, you may want to bring something dressy for our farewell dinner yacht cruise.
Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.
Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.
– A great attitude and an open mind.
– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Collapsible umbrella and/or lightweight raingear.
– Ladies may wish to bring an evening wrap and gentlemen a nicer jacket for evening wear if planning a gourmet dinner.
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep
medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face.
– Small, Swiss Army type utility knife. Remember to pack this in your checked luggage!
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book (iphone, blackberry) for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of film and extra batteries.
Travel Insurance is available through Travel Guard and in addition to direct access immediately upon completing your purchase, you will receive a quote from Travel Guard regarding travel insurance after reserving your vacation. Your Final Vacation Details & Meetup Info document, which is posted on the FAQ tab 14 days prior to departure, will include a phone contact number for the Solstice. Instructions on international dialing codes will be provided. We suggest you leave a copy of this with your family.
