STI Members arrive at the Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and transportation from the airport to the hotel is on your own (refer to the FAQ tab). Day 2 – Thursday – July 4

City Tour and Optional Dinner Cruise with Live Jazz

Breakfast is at your leisure (own expense) either at the hotel or a local restaurant, there are plenty!

The group will meet around 9:30 before we head to hop on the double decker bus for our city tour! The hop on/hop off bus stops at 10 different locations along the route. You are free to jump on and off as you wish and our passes are good for 48 hours. The stops include: Square Dorchester, Old Montreal: Notre Dame Basilica, Old Montreal: Pointe-à-Callière Museum Village, Latin Quarter, Festival Quarter, Fine Arts Museum, Saint Joseph’s Oratory, Mont-Royal: Kondiaronk Lookout and Mont-Royal: Camillien Houde Lookout. The rest of the day is to be enjoyed at your leisure.  Hit the fest with new friends or continue “hopping”.

OPTIONAL Dinner Cruise with Live Jazz (Board at 6:30 PM, 3.5 hours duration, $169):

Tonight we have a very special offer for a Dinner Cruise on the St. Lawrence River! The cruise is 3.5 hours, during which you will be served an authentic, 4-course dinner, while taking in the Beautiful sites of Montréal and watching the sunset over the water. There will also be an Elite Jazz Artist performing right onboard (TBA). This unique experience comes highly recommended.

Day 3 – Friday – July 5

At Leisure with Optional Old Montreal Walking and Tasting Tour

Breakfast is at leisure again before you hop back on the double decker bus to explore the stops you missed yesterday! If it fits in to your schedule, definitely take a scenic walk through the 185-acre Montréal Botanical Garden. With 10 uniquely themed greenhouses, it is home to more than 22,000 species of Flora. Spend some time wandering through the Zen Japanese Garden and admiring the Bonsai Trees all around you. The calming and relaxing stroll through the gardens will put you in the perfect mood before heading to the Festival to enjoy some smooth jazz, as well as food and drinks at one of the many restaurant terraces! The night is ours to pop around to the different stages and catch some amazing performances.

OPTIONAL Morning Walking and Tasting Tour in Old Montreal ($49):

Hop on the Double Decker Bus and hop off at the Notre Dame Basilica to meet the group, at 9:30 AM. From there, we will take a 2.5 hour guided walking tour through Old Montreal and learn about the City’s rich, French heritage. The charming, cobblestone streets will carry you past colonial façades while your guide teaches you about the longstanding French influence on the culinary scene. Discover how the World Expo of 1967 expanded the palates of the Montreal Residents as you pass old 19th century factories and showrooms that now occupy the city’s most delicious boutique food sellers and patisseries. Along the route, you will stop at 5 locations to sample smoked meats, macaroons, pâtés and more!

The day is at our leisure before the group meets back up for our spectacular farewell Dinner at Portus 360, a rotating restaurant offering 360 degree views of the city below. Here, amongst a stunning backdrop all around us, we celebrate a successful weekend of Classic Jazz, beautiful sites and new friendships before we say goodbye to Montréal.

Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by STI. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate without paying an equivalent fee to the rest of the group that made the reservation with STI. Your credit card on file will automatically be charged.

Yes! Singles Travel International is the only singles vacation company that features a travel community where members may send messages to one another at any time. Once you make a reservation, you are invited to post messages on the trip chat which is great for finding out more about your fellow travel companions, coordinating taxi shares, setting up tours and more. Your trip chat is accessible from the trip page. Ask your STI Reservation Therapist for assistance.

STI is pleased to announce that our President, Tammy Weiler, will be along on one special trip each year.  Enjoy the experience with her at top locations in the world that she has hand selected for solo travelers. You’ll have plenty of time to meet and chat with her throughout the program, offer your insights and ideas for future programs and participate in events created especially for the President’s Club trip.

In order to accommodate singles from all over the world, our tours and cruises are priced as land only. Therefore, airfare is additional. Singles Travel International is a licensed ticketing agency and oftentimes has low negotiated fares.

To make the most of your weekend, we recommend that you arrive by noon on Wednesday, July 3 and depart after 12 noon on Sunday, July 7, 2019. Note that Montreal is served by the Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport

The least expensive transportation is the Airport Shuttle Montreal. The shared cost is approximately $50 each way/$100 round-trip (subject to increase before final payment is made)/per person. Post a message on the chat and find another member to share a ride. Uber is taxed at the YUL airport and not a better deal.

Our tour does not include airfare, transfers, breakfast, lunch and 2 dinners. You are responsible for alcoholic beverages (except when included in STI events), incidentals such as laundry and phone calls, plus gratuities to STI staff ($10-$15 per day) and local guides.

Absolutely. Our site is so popular that we guarantee to find a roommate for you or the single room is on us! In order to take advantage of our offer, you must be paid in full by March 5, 2019. We may still be able to match you after this date, call us for options. Of course, single accommodations are available at an additional rate.

Optional pre and post cruise/tour stays are not eligible for the guarantee. Chances are excellent that we’ll find you a match, but if no match found by 30 days prior to departure, member pays the single supplement.

Please contact your preferred carrier directly to make your reservation. If Singles Travel International issues a promotional economy fare, granting of frequent flyer credit is entirely at the airline’s discretion. If the flights are eligible, to ensure you earn frequent flyer credit from the airline, give your frequent flyer account number when you check in for your flights. Plus, your STI Concierge Team will be on hand to take care of your every need. It’s not only what we do, it’s who we are!

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every trip sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 24 years, we have perfected the singles vacation experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day. From the moment you join our tour, our heroes, the STI Travel Concierge team is waiting to meet you. Our first day begins with a get together and the camaraderie builds as we go along.

As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages. Our vacations are specifically designed for Baby Boomers and active travelers with an average age range of 50-70. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline.

We recommend that you meet the members of the STI Community online where you may view and interact with members via “Who’s Going” on every trip page. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation.

We encourage our members to complete their personal profiles including a photo. Knowing who’s on the trip in advance makes socializing before and during your vacation easier and more fun.

Gorgeous! You may expect sunny days with daytime temperatures to be in the mid to high 80s. Evening temperatures are generally in the mid 60s. Rain is always possible, so come prepared with rain gear and a jacket for evenings.

There is no baggage limit at the hotel.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag, weighing 40 pounds, for a fee. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

Remember to bring comfortable shoes and a jacket for evenings. Casual attire is acceptable throughout the weekend. However, you may want to bring something dressy for our group dinners.

Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.

Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.

– A great attitude and an open mind.
– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Collapsible umbrella and/or lightweight raingear.
– Ladies may wish to bring an evening wrap and gentlemen a nicer jacket for evening wear if planning a gourmet dinner.
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep
medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of
loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face.
– Small, Swiss Army type utility knife. Remember to pack this in your checked luggage!
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book (iphone, blackberry) for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of film and extra batteries.

Travel Insurance is available through Travel Guard and in addition to direct access immediately upon completing your purchase, you will receive a quote from Travel Guard regarding travel insurance after reserving your vacation. Your “Final Vacation Details & Meetup Information” including transportation and how to meet up with the group will be available on the YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS button on the left navigation bar on the trip site, 21 days prior to trip start date.

What Our Members Are Saying

I just came back from a fantastic Mediterranean vacation aboard the Norwegian Epic. STI was fantastic from the office staff to our cruise hostesses June and Georgia. I look forward to traveling with STI again in the future!

The Epic Med cruise was fantastic. It was my first trip to Europe and was a nice taste of Spain, Italy and France. The day I saw there was a cruise without a single supplement was when I signed up. Nice group and made lots of new friends. Thanks STI!
