Itinerary

Tour Begins in Montreal June 30, 2023
Tour Ends in Montreal July 4, 2023

Day 1 – Friday – June 30

Welcome Dinner

Singles Travel International members arrive at the Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and transportation from the airport to the hotel is on your own (refer to the FAQ tab). Check into the Delta Hotel Montréal (after 3 p.m.). If you arrive early, the hotel will store your bags and you are free to explore the city on your own. Check in with your STI Concierge at the hotel this afternoon, meet your fellow travelers, sign up for tours and get oriented on your first day in the City of Saints. This evening we’ll get together for an optional drink before we enjoy a delicious dinner at Keg Steakhouse + Bar, at 8:00 PM. Meet and mingle with new friends as we plan which shows we want to see!

Day 2 – Saturday – July 1

Optional Dinner Cruise with Live Jazz

Breakfast is at your leisure in our hotel.

Our group will meet at 9:00 before we take a short walk to meet our local “foodie” guide for a 3 hour guided walking tour through Old Montreal to learn about the city’s rich, French heritage. The charming, cobblestone streets will carry us past colonial façades while our guide teaches us about the longstanding French influence on the culinary scene. Discover how the World Expo of 1967 expanded the palates of the Montreal Residents as we pass old 19th century factories and showrooms that now occupy the city’s most delicious boutique food sellers and patisseries. Along the route, we’ll stop at 5 locations to sample smoked meats, macaroons, pâtés and more!. The rest of the day is to be enjoyed at our leisure.  Hit the fest with new friends!

OPTIONAL Dinner Cruise with Live Jazz (Board at 6:30 PM, 3.5 hours duration, $169):

Tonight we have a very special offer for a Dinner Cruise on the St. Lawrence River! The cruise is 3.5 hours, during which you will be served an authentic, 4-course dinner, while taking in the Beautiful sites of Montréal and watching the sunset over the water. There will also be an Elite Jazz Artist performing right onboard (TBA). This unique experience comes highly recommended.

Day 3 – Sunday – July 2

At Leisure

Breakfast is at leisure again before you head out to explore the sites you missed yesterday! If it fits in to your schedule, definitely take a scenic walk through the 185-acre Montréal Botanical Garden. With 10 uniquely themed greenhouses, it is home to more than 22,000 species of Flora. Spend some time wandering through the Zen Japanese Garden and admiring the Bonsai Trees all around you. The calming and relaxing stroll through the gardens will put you in the perfect mood before heading to the Festival to enjoy some smooth jazz, as well as food and drinks at one of the many restaurant terraces! The night is ours to pop around to the different stages and catch some amazing performances.

Day 4 – Monday – July 3

At Leisure

Farewell Dinner

Enjoy breakfast at leisure before trekking back to the Jazz Music Fest or out to explore the city. There is plenty to see and do and with our hotel’s central location, getting around will be easy on public transportation. The day is at our leisure before the group meets back up for our spectacular farewell Dinner. Here, amongst a stunning backdrop all around us, we celebrate a successful weekend of Classic Jazz, beautiful sites and new friendships before we say goodbye to Montréal.

Day 5 – Tuesday – July 4

Check out and Transfer to Airport

Enjoy breakfast at leisure before checking out of our hotel. Super shuttles are available for your transport back to the airport (on own). We Hope you enjoyed your stay in fabulous Montréal!

Remember to bring comfortable shoes and a jacket for evenings. Casual attire is acceptable throughout the weekend. However, you may want to bring something dressy for our group dinners.

Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.

Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.

– A great attitude and an open mind.
– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Collapsible umbrella and/or lightweight raingear.
– Ladies may wish to bring an evening wrap and gentlemen a nicer jacket for evening wear if planning a gourmet dinner.
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep
medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of
loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face.
– Small, Swiss Army type utility knife. Remember to pack this in your checked luggage!
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book (iphone, blackberry) for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of film and extra batteries.

What Our Members Are Saying

I just came back from a fantastic Mediterranean vacation aboard the Norwegian Epic. STI was fantastic from the office staff to our cruise hostesses June and Georgia. I look forward to traveling with STI again in the future!

The Epic Med cruise was fantastic. It was my first trip to Europe and was a nice taste of Spain, Italy and France. The day I saw there was a cruise without a single supplement was when I signed up. Nice group and made lots of new friends. Thanks STI!
