Itinerary

Tour Begins in Nashville May 28, 2021
Tour Ends in Nashville May 31, 2021

Day 1 – Friday – May 28

Welcome Dinner

Arrive at the Nashville International Airport and transfer, on your own, to our hotel.

Once settled in our rooms, head out and explore on our own before we depart for an iconic Nashville dinner-show experience: the General Jackson Showboat Dinner Show and Cruise.

The show features a live band, six rising stars, dynamic music arrangements, dazzling choreography and stunning costumes all supported by state-of-the-art lighting and sound. Also included this evening is a delicious dinner and of course, the Cumberland River cruise.

After dinner, the evening is ours to enjoy!

Day 2 – Saturday – May 29

City Tour

Enjoy a hot breakfast at the hotel before we depart on a three-hour tour of Nashville, guided by a local singer / songwriter who will tell us all about Nashville. Your singer / songwriter guide will take the group on a tour of Music City, including world-famous Music Row, where you will learn about the recording industry straight from an aspiring songwriter. The city tour also will take you through the heart of Downtown Nashville and past many of the historic buildings, including the Ryman Auditorium, Tennessee State Capitol, Bicentennial Mall State Park, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Centennial Park, the Parthenon and much more. The Songwriter guide will also perform a few of his/her original songs along the way.

During your city tour, enjoy a stop at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the definitive home of America’s music, safeguarding more than 2.5 million priceless artifacts, countless recordings, photographs, numerous stage costumes, musical instruments, and more. Your group will enjoy a self-guided tour, as well as free time to enjoy lunch on your own at one of the Hall of Fame Complex’s several restaurants, which will be pointed out by your step-on tour guide.

Next, tour the “mother church of country music,” The Ryman Auditorium. Your visit to this famous National Historic Landmark begins with “Soul of Nashville,” a state-of-the-art theatre experience that puts you at the center of the Ryman’s fascinating history as more than a century of legendary performances come to life all around you. Next, enjoy five new exhibits where you can peruse genuine artifacts as video hosts Charles Esten (Deacon on Nashville), Marty Stuart, Nicole Kidman, Ricky Skaggs, Robin Roberts and Trisha Yearwood take you through each chapter of the Ryman’s illustrious history.

After our tour, the rest of the day/night is ours to enjoy at leisure. Join the group to see a show at the famous Grand Ole Opry with our VIP “Circle Room” Party Experience or head to one of the many country bars along Honky Tonk Row! Nashville’s vibrant nightlife is full of music, dancing and fun!

Day 3 – Sunday – May 30

Free Day and 3-Course Farewell Dinner

After breakfast at our hotel, meet with new friends and wander Nashville at your own pace. Plan to tour the Belle Meade Plantation or a brewery. Taste your way through Nashville through the many restaurants and cafes that line the downtown area, or relax in the peace and quiet of the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. Check out the Musicians Hall of Fame or Belmont mansion. The possibilities are endless in this city!

However we choose to spend our free day, just be sure to be back in time to get ready for our farewell, 3-course dinner tonight in Mezzanine level seats. UPDATE: The Johnny Cash show is no longer available due to Covid. We have arranged for an awesome night at one of Nashville’s hottest restaurants and live music venues: Ole Red! Ole Red gets its name from Blake Shelton’s breakout hit, “Ol’ Red”, and being there is a lot like hanging out with the guy himself: laid-back and genuine, up for anything, a bit irreverent (but always fun)—and set to great music. From hot up-and-comers to surprise celebrity guests, you’re at the only spot on the strip with talent that’s hand-picked by the people who KNOW great music: Opry Entertainment. It’s the perfect way to end our time in Music City!

Day 4 – Monday – May 31

Check out and Transfer to Airport

This morning we will have our final breakfast in Nashville before we check out and transfer, on our own, to the airport.

*Note: Itinerary and activities are subject to change at the discretion of the local operators, venues and municipalities to preserve the overall quality of the program. Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by STI. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate without paying an equivalent fee to the rest of the group that made the reservation with STI. Your credit card on file will automatically be charged.

Yes! Singles Travel International is the only singles vacation company that features a travel community where members may send messages to one another at any time. Once you make a reservation, you are invited to post messages on the trip chat which is great for finding out more about your fellow travel companions, coordinating taxi shares, setting up tours and more. Your trip chat is accessible from the trip page. Ask your STI Reservation Therapist for assistance.

In order to accommodate singles from all over the world, our tours and cruises are priced as land only. Therefore, airfare is additional. Singles Travel International is a licensed ticketing agency and oftentimes has low negotiated fares.

To make the most of your weekend, we recommend that you arrive by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 28, and depart after 12 noon on Monday, May 31, 2021. Note that Nashville is served by the Nashville International Airport.

The least expensive transportation is the Nashville Airport Shuttle. The shared cost is approximately $15 each way/$20 round-trip (subject to increase before final payment is made). Taxis are available outside each terminal and rates are approximately $25-$35 each way per car. Post a message on the chat and find another member to share a ride.

Our tour does not include airfare, transfers, lunch and 1 dinner. You are responsible for alcoholic beverages (except when included in STI events), incidentals such as laundry and phone calls, plus gratuities to STI staff ($15 per day) and local guides.

Absolutely. Our site is so popular that we guarantee to find a roommate for you or the single room is on us! In order to take advantage of our offer, you must be paid in full by Jan. 26, 2021. We may still be able to match you after this date, call us for options. Of course, single accommodations are available at an additional rate.

Optional pre and post cruise/tour stays are not eligible for the guarantee. Chances are excellent that we’ll find you a match, but if no match found by 30 days prior to departure, member pays the single supplement.

Please contact your preferred carrier directly to make your reservation. If Singles Travel International issues a promotional economy fare, granting of frequent flyer credit is entirely at the airline’s discretion. If the flights are eligible, to ensure you earn frequent flyer credit from the airline, give your frequent flyer account number when you check in for your flights. In addition, save your boarding passes and the passenger receipt from your airline ticket. You may need to submit these to the airline (not to Singles Travel International) to claim any credit allowed.

Marriott Gaylord Opryland Resort and Spa places us right in the heart of Nashville. The hotel features a glass atrium and is surrounded by 9 acres of indoor gardens, winding rivers and waterfalls. Located only 1 mile from the Grand Ole Opry, the resort features six restaurants, four bars and multiple retail stores. It features rooms furnished with a mini fridge and interior balconies.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every trip sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 25 years, we have perfected the singles vacation experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day. From the moment you join our tour, our heroes, the STI Travel Concierge team is waiting to meet you. Our first day begins with a get together and the camaraderie builds as we go along.

As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages. Our vacations are specifically designed for Baby Boomers and active travelers with an average age range of 50-70. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline.

We recommend that you meet the members of the STI Community online where you may view and interact with members via “Who’s Going” on every trip page. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation.

We encourage our members to complete their personal profiles including a photo. Knowing who’s on the trip in advance makes socializing before and during your vacation easier and more fun.

Gorgeous! You may expect sunny days with daytime temperatures to be in the mid- to high- 70s. Evening temperatures are generally in the mid 60s. Rain is always possible, so come prepared with rain gear and a jacket for evenings.

There is no baggage limit at the hotel.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag, weighing 50 pounds, for a fee. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

Remember to bring comfortable shoes and a jacket for evenings. Casual attire is acceptable throughout the weekend.

Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.

Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.

– A great attitude and an open mind.
– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Collapsible umbrella and/or lightweight raingear.
– Ladies may wish to bring an evening wrap and gentlemen a nicer jacket for evening wear if planning a gourmet dinner.
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face.
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book (iphone, blackberry) for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of batteries.

Travel Insurance is available through Travel Guard, and, in addition to direct access immediately upon completing your purchase, you will receive a quote from Travel Guard regarding travel insurance after reserving your vacation.

If you have any questions, Travel Guard professional, expert agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call us, if you have not received your quote within 3 days.

Your “Final Vacation Details & Meetup Information” including transportation and how to meet up with the group will be available on the YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS button on the left navigation bar on the trip site, 21 days prior to trip start date.

Our office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. In an emergency after hours, please contact Tammy Weiler at 815-715-6998.

What Our Members Are Saying

I just came back from a fantastic Mediterranean vacation aboard the Norwegian Epic. STI was fantastic from the office staff to our cruise hostesses June and Georgia. I look forward to traveling with STI again in the future!

The Epic Med cruise was fantastic. It was my first trip to Europe and was a nice taste of Spain, Italy and France. The day I saw there was a cruise without a single supplement was when I signed up. Nice group and made lots of new friends. Thanks STI!
