Dubai is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. A bustling microcosm, peacefully shared by cultures from all corners of the world, and although rooted in Islamic tradition, it’s an open society where it’s easy for newcomers and visitors to connect with myriad experiences.  Sir Bani Yas Island is part of the Al Gharbia region of the United Arab Emirates. It’s dominated by the Arabian Wildlife Park, with its roaming giraffes, cheetahs and gazelles. Multiple archaeological sites across the island include the ruins of an ancient Christian monastery. Salt dome hills define the island’s desert interior. The coast features beaches, sea kayak routes and a shipwreck. Our journey is rounded out with nearly a week in India when adding our pre cruise package including the Taj Mahal.  Immerse in exotic and mysterious cultures of the old world with singles your age, making new friends and enjoying the experience together.

Day-to-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Tuesday, December 18

Arrival into Delhi, India (DEL), at any time after 4 p.m., and transfer to the The Piccadily New Delhi and the remainder of our day is at leisure to rest up for our tour the following day.

Overnight The Piccadily New Delhi

Day 2: Wednesday, December 19

Enjoy breakfast at our hotel, included in our tour package, before we embark on a full-day tour of New and Old Delhi.

First, drive along Rajpath – the capital’s broadest avenue. Along the way we will see Parliament House, a low, circular structure that covers more than five acres of land. You will also see Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President’s Palace, which is the official residence of the president of India. We will also see India Gate, a 138- foot-high, arch-shaped structure that stands at the eastern end of Rajpath. It is inscribed with the names of 85,000 Indian Army soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. Below burns the Amar Jawan Jyoti, the Eternal Flame, in tribute to all martyred soldiers of India. The Amar Jawan Jyoti was lit after the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.

Next, proceed to Humayun’s Tomb, commissioned by Humayun’s widowed queen, Haji Begum, in the sixteenth century. Architecturally it is the forerunner of the world-famous Taj Mahal. We’ll also have a chance to visit Qutab Minar, a soaring, 238-foot-high stone tower, which was built by Qutab-Ud-Din Aibak in the twelfth century. At its base is the Quwwat-Ul Islam Mosque, the first mosque to be built in India. A twenty-three-foot-high iron pillar, which was built in the fourth century, stands in the courtyard of the mosque. After viewing Qutab Minar, we move on to Birla Temple, which is one of the major landmarks of New Delhi. The temple, built in 1939, is dedicated to Vishnu and enshrines almost all the deities of the Hindu pantheon. Later, we’ll return to our hotel to rest and relax or pursue independent activities.,

Later, tour Old Delhi, including the seventeenth-century walled city of Shahjahanabad. We visit the Red Fort, or Lal Quila as popularly known among locals. Its thick, red-sandstone walls bulge with turrets and bastions that have withstood the ravages of both time and nature. Within the walls lie halls of public and private audience, domed and arched marble palaces, plush private apartments, a mosque and elaborately designed gardens. Even today, Lal Quila remains an impressive testimony to Mughal grandeur. Its magnificence leaves many awestruck and breathless.,

Later, take a walk through Chandni Chowk, the old marketplace of Shahjahanabad, which is now a picturesque bazaar. It consists of many narrow lanes that are crowded with shops selling everything from authentic Indian food and clothing to electronics.

Next we visit the Raj Ghat, a memorial that is erected on the site where Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian nation, was cremated. We will also view the Ashoka Pillar, which is a magnificent, fourteen-foot-high structure that was created in the third century.

Overnight The Piccadily New Delhi

Day 3: Thursday, December 20

Enjoy breakfast at our hotel, included in our tour package, before our drive from Delhi to Agra.

Agra – Half day city tour

Visit Agra Fort, a large, red-sandstone structure built by the famous Mughal Emperor Akbar in AD 1565. It houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and many other noteworthy structures. We will also visit the magnificent Taj Mahal. Built by Shah Jahan as a memorial to his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal, the monument is made of brilliant white marble and is a fine example of symmetry, balance of design and traditional inlay work. As we tour the famed landmark we will have an opportunity to enjoy its changing hues as it is bathed in the warm glow of sunset.

Taj Mahal Sunset Tour

Enjoy a sunset visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal.

Overnight at the Radisson Blu Hotel Agra

Day 4: Friday, December 21

Enjoy an early breakfast at our hotel. Check out and verify that your bags are tagged and ready to go.

Agra – Taj at Sunrise

Experience a sunrise visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal, presenting a unique visage from any other time of day as it welcomes the rising sun. Built by Shah Jahan as a memorial to his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal, the monument is made of brilliant white marble and is a fine example of symmetry, balance of design and traditional inlay work.

Agra – Delhi drive

Our ride back to Delhi will be filled with wonderful memories.  On arrival back in Delhi, we check in at our hotel and enjoy an early dinner (optional) before turning in for our 9:00 a.m. flight to Abu Dhabi.

Day 5: Saturday, December 22

Enjoy an early breakfast at our hotel. Check out and verify that your bags are tagged and ready to go.  We’ll transfer together to the airport  for our flight to Abu Dhabi.  On arrival, we’ll be met and begin out 3 hour tour before we continue to the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal to board the Celebrity Constellation.

To access our options, simply click “Book Now”, make your selections and check out.

Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by STI. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate without paying an equivalent fee to the rest of the group that made the reservation with STI. NOTE: Your credit card on file will automatically be charged.

You are responsible international airfare, ground transportation between airport/hotel/ship, beverages (except when included in STI events), shore tours, casino gambling, shopping and gratuities to ship and STI staff ($15 per day). Cabin incidentals such as laundry, phone calls and internet access are also at an additional cost and all items will appear on your final billing statement at the end of the cruise.

Absolutely. Our site is so popular that we guarantee to find a roommate for you or the single cabin is on us! In order to take advantage of our offer, you must be paid in full by August 21, 2018. Of course, single cabins are available at an additional rate assessed by Celebrity Cruises. Even after the cut-off date, we get so many calls that finding a roommate is easy. So please let us know if you are interested when making your booking.

Our guarantee is based on the lowest, inside cabin share rate. If you opt for a higher category and we are unable to match in that category, you are responsible for the difference to move a member into your cabin to make a match. You may also opt to take your own cabin at that time for the single cabin rate. Assessments are made at final payment date, 90 days prior to departure.

Roommate matches are based on the same sex, general age range and smoking preference whenever possible, but not guaranteed. STI reserves the right to make any match up until day of cruising, including roommate changes once onboard for members who select the Share & Save option.

We highly recommend that our guests contact their roommates in advance. Booked members have access to our private online chat. Meet your roommate as well as the other members on your vacation. Singles Travel International makes every effort to accommodate requests, but does not guarantee the satisfaction or success of a roommate match. It’s the responsibility of the guest to contact his/her roommate and ask the appropriate questions.

Optional pre and post cruise/tour stays are not eligible for the guarantee. Chances are excellent that we’ll find you a match, but if no match found by 30 days prior to departure, member pays the single supplement.

Read more about Roommate Matching on our Frequently Asked Questions found at the Help Center.

STI offers a pre cruise stay in Abu Dhabi the night before your cruise or our bucket list, pre cruise package in India to include a sunrise and sunset visit of the Taj Mahal! See the Price My Trip or Book Now Buttons for details and to make your reservation. If taking advantage of our pre cruise packages, arrive anytime after 4 p.m.

Not taking either of our packages? We’ll meet you onboard the ship and meeting details will be provided in your final document email sent 14 days prior to departure.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every cruise sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 24 years, we have perfected the singles cruise experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day. From the moment you board the ship, our STI Concierge Team is waiting to meet you at our Hospitality Suite. Our first evening begins with a private, welcome aboard party followed by daily activities both onboard the ship as well as in each port. We dine together each evening in an open seating arrangement so that you have a chance to meet as many people as possible.

Start meeting your cruise mates online today. Send personal messages or post to the chat to get your trip plans in order and see who else is cruising with you!

Our “Baby Boomer” vacations cater to singles in their 50s and 60s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 45-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages.

We recommend that you meet the members of the STI Community online where you may view and interact with members via “Who’s Going” on every trip page. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. If sharing a cabin, we recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.

The electrical prongs in India and Abu Dhabi will require adapters and a converter.

In the United Arab Emirates the power sockets are of type C, D and G. The standard voltage is 220 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.

In India the power sockets are of type C, D and M. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.

  • You need a power plug adapter.
  • You also need a voltage converter.
  • Be extra careful with certain appliances because of the difference in frequency.

Click here to view and purchase an adapter for your trip.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your STI Travel Director/Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our Daily STI Program. We reserve late (second) seating for the entire group for dinner and use a round robin seating plan. Guests are assigned a place for the first night and then may sit with whomever they’d like, at any one of our group tables, for the balance of the cruise. Late (second) dining is generally served at 8:30 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at early (first) seating, please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose late (second) seating and by selecting early (first) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are generally several ala carte, themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International will take reservation requests for tables of 8 during our Welcome Aboard meeting. You may sign up for those options, and therefore enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles, once onboard the ship.

If you would like to dine early, please make your request at time of reservation. Note that we will accommodate your request but the majority of our members dine at second seating.

Abu Dhabi and Dubai have hot, dry and windy conditions year round, but the cooler November temperatures of around 18°C (64 F) to 31°C (87 F) mean there’s very little humidity. There’s also very little rainfall, just 0.2 inches expected over the entire month. Weather-wise, November is considered one of the best times to visit Dubai.

Southeast India (during our cruise) will tend to be a bit more warm with mid day temperatures reaching low 90s and high 70s in the evening. While in Agra and the Taj Mahal, expect 68 F just after sunrise and 78 F at 7 p.m., comfortable temps for lingering to photograph the sunrise and sunset.

Be sure to confirm that your passport is current and will be valid at least six months after your departure (July 5, 2019). If you do not have one or need a new one, contact the State Department Passport Office in your area immediately or US guests may visit their website by clicking here.

We recommend that you also make copies of your passport and driver’s license, in case of loss, and carry them with you on your trip separate from your original documents.

All travelers are responsible for obtaining a VISA FOR INDIA, whether on the cruise only or on our pre cruise package. U.S. citizens seeking to enter India solely for tourist purposes, and who plan to stay no longer than 60 days, may apply for an electronic travel authorization at least four days prior to their arrival in lieu of applying for a tourist visa at an Indian embassy or consulate.  Please visit the Indian government’s website for electronic travel authorization for additional information regarding the eligibilities and requirements for this type of visa.  Without the electronic travel authorization visas are not available upon arrival for U.S. citizens. If you do not have a valid passport and visa you may be denied admission. Make sure that your passport is valid until July 5, 2019 and has 4 blank pages (US passports–excluding pages 22, 23 and 24) which are not accepted as visa pages.

US citizens with a US passport that is valid for more than six months do not need to obtain a visa prior to entry to the UAE if the duration of their visit will be less than one month. This includes US citizens with visas or entry stamps from other countries in their passports.  Read more.

Non US Citizens are responsible for verifying their own required documentation for this tour.

We are visiting at the best time of year for dry, sunny days and recommend summer attire. We anticipate that the lowest temps will be in the low 70s but may reach 90 in south east India near the beaches,

As always, for traveling, we recommend that you pack layers with 3 main colors and accessories. Start with pants and shorts and a few t-shirts, add a light sweater or sweat shirt and then a water/wind proof jacket with a hood, just in case. Comfortable walking shoes are a must with extra socks in case you get wet. Following these basic guidelines will get you through any of your days in South America.

Celebrity has overhauled “Formal Night” with a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. Now, on up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Women should feel comfortable wearing:
• A cocktail dress
• Skirt, pants or designer jeans with an elegant top

Men should feel comfortable wearing:
• Pants or designer jeans with a dress shirt, button-down shirt or sweater
• Optional sport coat or blazer

Evening Chic means that you may get glamorous and be sophisticated in your own way. If you would like to still wear a tuxedo or formal gown on Evening Chic nights, you absolutely should.

Any cruise 6-nights or shorter will feature one Evening Chic night. All other nights of the cruise will feature Smart Casual attire.

Smart Casual attire may be enjoyed every other night of your cruise.

Women should feel comfortable wearing:
• Skirt, pants or jeans with a casual top

Men should feel comfortable wearing:

• Pants or jeans with a sport shirt that has sleeves

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.

Daytime wear is casual and comfortable for touring/shopping. Plan for layers and bring rain gear, just in case!

Evenings aboard the ship are sometimes cool due to the air conditioning, so a cover up is essential if you tend to get cold easily.

Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.

Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.

– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of binoculars.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Collapsible umbrella (which can double as a sunshade parasol) and/or lightweight raingear.
– Ladies will want to bring a nicer warm wrap, and gentlemen a nicer jacket, for evening wear.
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor. Sun is strong during the summer.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, Neosporin or other anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face, especially for guests in an inside cabin.
– Electrical adapters and converter for hair appliances, electric shavers
– Power strip for charging multiple items during your cruise; limited # of outlets
– Small, Swiss Army type utility knife. Remember to pack this in your checked luggage!
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of film and extra batteries. If you are bringing a digital camera, you should bring extra memory chips. If you have a Polaroid, the instant photos can be excellent for cultural exchange, and you can leave a memento of your visit with newfound friends.

There is a modest dress code for the Mosque, a place of prayer and where Islamic values are to be respected. Heed the following during your visit.

* Do not smoke.

* Never enter a mosque in shoes. Remove shoes and leave them in a safe place if provided, if not put in a tie bag and keep at your side.

All onboard purchases are billed with a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account. At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total bill, which can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card. If you are sharing with another guest, no worries. You will each receive a separate statement which may be reviewed at any time on your interactive TV in the cabin.

In port, we will be required to use the local currency as follows and change may be made a.) in advance of your trip using Travelex (save $5 on your first order), or b.) upon arrival in each port using an ATM. Be sure to notify your bank that you plan to travel and where to avoid any stops on your card while you are shopping. Finally, c.) all airports have an exchange after you exit customs but the rates are usually highest here. Grab what you need to get to your hotel and exchange more later once in town or able to use an ATM.

India: Indian Rupee
United Arab Emirates: UAE Dirham

Two specific websites to verify rates are: xe.com and money.cnn.com/markets/currencies.

Major credit cards are widely accepted in ports and we recommend Visa and MasterCard as many locations do not accept American Express or Discover.

No. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) recommends updating all routine booster shots for travel almost anywhere. In addition, we suggest that you have a physical check-up before your trip, and discuss the type of trip in which you are participating with your physician.

All countries you will visit have laws against the purchase and export of certain items, including antiquities, national cultural property and certain animal products, especially endangered species (ivory, rhino horn, tortoise shell, coral, feathers, etc.). Additionally, the United States has laws prohibiting the import of certain items, which include many of the same things. You face having your purchase confiscated and/or heavy fines for exporting or importing prohibited items.

On return to the U.S., your baggage is subject to search by U.S. Customs. Currently, you are permitted to bring back $800 of goods duty free. Persons aged 21 or over may also bring in one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes. If you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs or expensive items, it is important to retain all purchase receipts. However, please note that U.S. Customs may not accept a receipt as true cost if it seems unusually low for the estimated value of the item. You may access the regulations and restrictions governing US Customs on their official website, click here to learn more.

Meet Your STI Concierge

Vicki

Hi! My name is Vicki, and I am so happy to have joined the STI family as a Concierge! After having a career as a health-and-fitness writer and then having children, I decided to make a career change in order to pursue my love for travel. For 9 years now, I have designed small-group tours all over Europe and have led tours in Italy, Malta and Croatia. From the moment I began leading tours, being able to share wonderful experiences and make people smile through discovering a new location - or perhaps through discovering something about themselves - I felt as if I had found exactly what I was meant to do! I look forward to making your vacation dreams come true.

What Our Members Are Saying

After checking out the Singles Travel International website for more than two years, I decided to take the risk and sign up for my dream vacation…New Zealand/Australia. It was the best move I’ve made in retirement..and by far the best trip I’ve ever taken! Everything was perfect….not one glitch. The trip was very organized and well planned. The concierges Else and Heidi handled all details and questions promptly and efficiently with pleasant attitudes,. They made sure everyone was included in all activities that interested them and gave wonderful suggestions and advice when needed. I think what I enjoyed the most were the other travelers. I met people that were passionate about travel and simply said…sooooo much fun! STI has made it very easy to keep in touch with these new travel buddies about future adventures. I have three more STI trips on the bucket list. Thank you Tammy, Robin, Heidi, Else and the entire STI team for the travel opportunities you have opened for me!!
