Tour Begins in Austin: November 8, 2018
Tour Ends in Austin: November 11, 2018
Day 1 – Thursday- November 8
Flights arrive at Austin- Bergstrom International Airport and transportation to Marriott Courtyard Austin Downtown is on your own. Check-in (after 3 pm) with our Singles Travel International Concierge upon arrival. Here, you can meet your fellow travelers, sign up for optional tours and ask about the best attractions in this Capitol City!
Settle in your room and then we will meet for an optional drink in the hotel bar, before heading to a local restaurant for dinner with the group! This is the perfect opportunity to mingle and get to know your weekend travel companions!
After dinner, head over to 6th street for some of the city’s best entertainment. This is where you will find live music, dancing and cocktails to get the full Austin nightlife experience!
Day 2 -Friday- November 9
Start the day with an early breakfast at the hotel to fuel up for your first full day in this vibrant city!
After breakfast, we will head out for our private tour of Austin! We will start with an overview of the city, including all of the major landmarks. Then we will leave the tourist area and check out the hidden gems only the locals know about! Listen as the narrator tells us all about the lifestyle, food, music and history of this unique city. After we have seen all of the best spots, we will cruise out into the Hill Country to enjoy the picturesque landscape, dotted with wineries and wildflowers. Our tour ends with an all you can eat BBQ lunch at The Salt Lick; the most famous pit in central Texas!
After being dropped off back at the hotel, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy! You can spend it in the 2nd Street Shopping District, the famous Graffiti Park, or take the opportunity to visit Lady Bird Lake’s hiking and biking trails!
Dinner will be at your leisure and, with this being one of the best cities for food, the options all around you will not disappoint!
If you are looking for a fun night on the town, Austin is one of the best places to be. Explore Rainey Street, where you will find old homes turned in to bars with outdoor patios; or, see a show at the historic Paramount Theatre! If you are looking to get to the heart of Austin, the music, then we suggest you join the Live Music Crawl! Sign up and meet the group, at 7pm, for a 3 hour tour, hitting 2-3 of the best venues! Austin has over 270 live music venues and this tour skips the cover bands and brings you straight to the authentic spots! Led by a local musician, you will get the latest scoop on the current music scene, learn about Austin live music history, and see iconic venues, most of which are outside of the downtown area.
Day 3 -Saturday- November 10
Wake up and enjoy breakfast at the hotel while you plan out your adventures for your last day in the Capitol City.
You can check out the Bullock Texas State History Museum, the popular Downtown Farmer’s Market, or explore with your taste buds at the food trucks!
To see some of the beauty of Austin, head over to Zilker Metropolitan Park and walk the Botanical Garden, or venture outside of the city, to Mount Bonnell, alongside the Lake Austin portion of the Colorado River.
However you choose to spend your day, plan to meet the group at a local restaurant for our farewell dinner this evening. The perfect way to bookend your fabulous weekend in Austin with new friends!

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every trip sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 24 years, we have perfected the singles vacation experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day. From the moment you join our tour, our STI Concierge is waiting to meet you. Our first day begins with a get together and the camaraderie builds as we go along.
Our “All Ages” vacations cater to 40+ and our average age range is 45-65. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee the ratio or ages.
Take advantage of our community features, send individual messages and post to friends and fellow travelers on the chat, exclusively for members on your same tour.
Beautiful! You may expect sunny days with daytime temperatures to be between 65-75. Evening temperatures are generally in the low 60s. There isn’t much rain in November but possible, so come prepared with rain gear and a jacket for evenings.
There is no baggage limit at the hotel.
Currently, most airlines will allow you to check up to two bags, weighing 50 pounds each, for a fee. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.
Remember to bring comfortable shoes and a jacket for evenings. Casual attire is acceptable throughout the weekend. However, you may want to bring something dressy for our welcome and farewell dinners.
Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don`t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don`t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.
Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.
– A great attitude and an open mind.
– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Collapsible umbrella (which can double as a sunshade parasol) and/or lightweight raingear.
– Ladies may wish to bring an evening wrap and gentlemen a nicer jacket for evening wear.
– Sweater or light jacket.
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face.
– Small, Swiss Army type utility knife, great for opening wine, packages etc. Remember to pack this in your checked luggage!
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of film and extra batteries.

Meet Your STI Concierge
Hi! My name is Vicki, and I am so happy to have joined the STI family as a Concierge! After having a career as a health-and-fitness writer and then having children, I decided to make a career change in order to pursue my love for travel. For 9 years now, I have designed small-group tours all over Europe and have led tours in Italy, Malta and Croatia. From the moment I began leading tours, being able to share wonderful experiences and make people smile through discovering a new location - or perhaps through discovering something about themselves - I felt as if I had found exactly what I was meant to do! I look forward to making your vacation dreams come true.
