Silhouette is nothing if not quintessential Solstice class. It’s the most sophisticated experience you’ll find on a nearly 3,000-passenger ship — see the focus on wine, sleekly styled spaces and slightly upscale dining — without being overly stuffy. Celebrity does a commendable job of keeping the pretentiousness quota in check by inserting playful touches, like an ice-topped martini bar that features juggling bartenders, a cook-your-own steakhouse and another restaurant, Qsine, where passengers are encouraged to play with their food. Solstice-class stalwarts won’t miss a beat, and for first-timers, Silhouette will showcase why the series has become one of the most acclaimed in modern cruising.

Half-Day Buenos Aires City Tour

Admire sights such as 9 de Julio Avenue, the Obelisk, Corrientes Street, the Plaza de Mayo, the Cathedral and the Cabildo (Old City Hall) before we continue to San Telmo. This traditional neighborhood is characterized by its old colonial houses and cobblestoned streets. Next up is the beautiful La Boca neighborhood, where we will stop to gaze around the colorful zinc houses that used to serve as refuge and home for the first immigrants and popular artists. As we continue our tour, we are blown away by a panoramic view of Puerto Madero. The old port of this city was turned into one of the most exclusive gastronomic and residential areas in Buenos Aires! Heading to Palermo, we can find the popular woods containing around 741 acres of gardens, and artificial ponds, and surrounded by elegant buildings. Finally, our last stop is Recoleta. Here, we will see the stunning Recoleta Cemetery, and enjoy some free time to roam among the many bars, cafes and fancy restaurants.

NYE Gala with Tango Show and VIP Dinner

On December 31st, Café de los Angelitos organizes a huge Gala party to celebrate New Year’s Eve! The historical Café, founded in 1890, represents more than a hundred years of Buenos Aires History. This mystical coffee bar became a meeting point for “compadritos” (swaggerers) and “malandras” (scoundrels) towards the end of the 19th Century. Remodeled, following an ambitious architecture project and conformed by three levels, it exhibits luxury and distinction every night with 21 artists that perform the famous live tango show. As a special New Year’s Eve celebration, our evening includes pick up from the hotel (8 PM), a VIP cocktail reception followed by the tango show and then a VIP Dinner. At midnight, we will toast the new year with new friends before enjoying a variety of desserts and a gala that lasts until 3 AM!

FULL-DAY Countryside Village Visit with Lunch at Estancia at Ombu de Areco

After pickup at the hotel, we head to the 280-year-old town of  San Antonio de Areco. Nestled in lush farmlands, San Antonio de Areco still has narrow sidewalks, local handicrafts, blacksmiths, silversmiths and leather shops along the streets. We will see people wearing traditional garments and keeping with the customs of the original Argentinean traditions. After our visit in this unique little town, we go to to El Ombu Estancia (farm) to enjoy an exquisite lunch! At this gorgeous farm, we will find centennial oak trees, palm trees, eucalyptus and magnolias along the 9.8 acres that make up the estancia. After lunch, walk the beautiful property, admire the horses, relax in the park and snap some photos of the beautiful scenery.

*Hotels and itinerary subject to change at the discretion of our tour provider and would be replaced with similar accommodations.

Rates are subject to change at any time until confirmed by an STI vacation specialist. Note that guests must make the reservation with STI in order to participate in group activities in Buenos Aires. Bookings made directly with the hotel do not qualify.
Optional pre- and post-cruise/tour stays are not eligible for the roommate-match guarantee. Chances are excellent that we’ll find you a match, but if no match found by 30 days prior to departure, member pays the single supplement.

Where will we go on our cruise?

Buenos Aires, Argentina

This beautiful South American city boasts vast cultural offerings, fine foods and quaint cafes. Buenos Aires lives up to its name as the “city that never sleeps,” with an exciting pulse of energetic people. Be sure to visit the birthplace of the Tango, La Boca!

Ushuaia, Argentina

Ushuaia is the southernmost town in the world, surrounded by the southernmost point of the spectacular Andes Mountain Region. The Andean Condors and rugged beauty of Tierra del Fuego National Park provide the perfect backdrop for a hike on one of the beautiful trails framed by the sea, forests, lakes and mountains.

Stanley, Falkland Islands

Arrive to the capital of the Falkland Islands, also known as Port Stanley, and you’ll find a coastal town worthy of a jigsaw puzzle. This quaint city is home to a small population, but there is still so much to see and do! Whether you visit the Anglican Christ Church Cathedral, the southernmost cathedral in the world, or look for penguins, this unique port will not disappoint!

Puerto Madryn, Argentina

This stunning city, located on the northern Patagonia coast, offers a restaurant-lined promenade and sandy beaches. Puerto Madryn is also a gateway to remote wildlife preserves. Tour the Punta Tombo Nature Reserve or the Paleontology Museum in the Chubut Valley.

Montevideo, Uruguay

Resting on the southernmost point of the Rio de la Plata, Uruguay’s capital is a charming city. Tour the Establecimiento Juanico winery, with buildings dating back to 1849, and wander the Plaza Independencia. Take in the scenery at Estancia La Rabida or Ciudad Vieja (old town) with its Art Deco buildings and colonial homes.

BOOK EARLY TO GET LOWEST FARES. Please schedule your flight to arrive in Buenos Aires (EZE) at any time on January 2 and depart from Buenos Aires (EZE) after 5:00 p.m. on January 17. Flights out of EZE are always in the evening, which is why STI included a post cruise excursion that ends with a transfer to the airport!

See the Future Cruise Sales representative aboard your next cruise for details and to make your reservation. STI fees will apply in addition to the cruise line price and range from $120-$300 based on the length of the cruise and our expenses to create our enjoyable, singles only program.

Note that if you elect to take a roommate and he/she cancels after our cut off date, we will do everything to find a new match. However, if no match is found, the difference in cost for a single cabin/room is the responsibility of the guest who cancels. No refund will be given to the guest who cancels, regardless of cruise or tour company policy as stated above. Singles Travel International is not responsible for costs related to cancellations after our cut off date.

Allow 90-120 days for a refund as suggested by Celebrity during COVID-19. All refunds will be made via company check.

Cancellations made prior to final payment may transfer deposit to a future vacation. A $25 transfer fee applies and new selection must be made within 30 days.

In order to accommodate singles from all over the world, our tours and cruises are priced as land/cruise only. Therefore, airfare is additional. Singles Travel International is a licensed ticketing agency and oftentimes has low negotiated fares.

If you plan to arrange your own flights, please make sure you arrive in Buenos Aires (EZE) at any time on January 2 and depart from Buenos Aires (EZE) after 5:00 p.m. on January 17. Flights out of EZE are always in the evening, which is why STI included a post cruise excursion that ends with a transfer to the airport.

Of course, if you plan to join us for our additional 3 Night Singles NYE Celebration Package, arrive anytime on December 30.

Please contact your preferred carrier directly to make your reservation. If Singles Travel International issues a promotional economy fare, granting of frequent flyer credit is entirely at the airline’s discretion. If the flights are eligible, to ensure you earn frequent flyer credit from the airline, give your frequent flyer account number when you check in for your flights. In addition, save your boarding passes and the passenger receipt from your airline ticket. You may need to submit these to the airline (not to Singles Travel International) to claim any credit allowed.

You are responsible for beverages (except when included in accommodations events), shore tours, casino gambling, shopping and gratuities to ship and Singles Travel International Concierge ($15 per day). Cabin incidentals such as laundry, phone calls and internet access are also at an additional cost and all items will appear on your final billing statement at the end of the cruise. You may also be charged a delivery fee, imposed by our vendors for special delivery of documents including international and expedited documents.

Absolutely. In order to take advantage of our offer, you must be paid in full by September 4, 2020. Of course, single cabins are available at an additional rate assessed by Celebrity Cruise Line. Even after the cut-off date, we get so many calls that finding a roommate is easy. So please let us know if you are interested when making your booking.

Our guarantee is based on the lowest inside-cabin share rate. If you opt for a higher category and we are unable to match in that category, you are responsible for the difference to move a member into your cabin to make a match. You may also opt to take your own cabin at that time for the single cabin rate. Assessments are made at final payment date, 120 days prior to departure.

Roommate matches are based on the same sex, general age range and smoking preference whenever possible, but not guaranteed. STI reserves the right to make any match up until day of cruising, including roommate changes once onboard for members who select the Share & Save option.

We highly recommend that our guests contact their roommates in advance. Booked members have access to our private online chat. Meet your roommate as well as the other members on your vacation. Singles Travel International makes every effort to accommodate requests, but does not guarantee the satisfaction or success of a roommate match. It’s the responsibility of the guest to contact his/her roommate and ask the appropriate questions.

Optional pre- and post-cruise/tour stays are not eligible for the roommate-match guarantee. Chances are excellent that we’ll find you a match, but if no match found by 30 days prior to departure, member pays the single supplement.

Read more about Roommate Matching on our Frequently Asked Questions found at the Help Center.

STI includes a pre cruise night in Buenos Aires, which allows our members to get a head start socializing and increases the odds that we won’t miss the boat! Meeting details will be available on the YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS button on the left navigation bar on the trip site, 21 days prior to trip start date.

Our Hotel:*

Hotel Grand Brizo

Cerrito 180, C1010AAD

CABA, Argentina

Ph: +54 11 3984-8060

We also offer an optional, additional, 3 Night Singles NYE Celebration Package. See the Price & Options Tab for details and to make your reservation.

*Hotel subject to change at any time and would be replaced with similar accommodations, based on availability

Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by STI. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate.

STI includes a pre cruise night in Buenos Aires, as our surveys show that members arriving a day early have a more rewarding experience.
We also offer an optional, additional, 3-Night Singles NYE Celebration Package. See the Price & Options Tab for details and to make your reservation.

Note that guests must make the reservation with STI in order to participate in group activities in Buenos Aires. Bookings made directly with the hotel do not qualify.

Optional pre- and post-cruise/tour stays are not eligible for the guarantee. Chances are excellent that we’ll find you a match, but if no match found by 30 days prior to departure, member pays the single supplement.

We would be happy to arrange transportation for you, from the airport to the hotel, at an additional cost of $79. Please provide your flight arrival schedule to us, at service@singlestravelintl.com, 60 days prior to departure in order for us to arrange.

If you choose to transfer on your own, we recommend using a taxi. All taxis run on a meter and most accept major international credit cards. In case of a language barrier, please have the hotel information written down to show your driver.

Embarkation and cabin check-in is at 12:00 p.m. Our group will be transferred, from our hotel, to the ship around 11:00 a.m.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every cruise sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 25 years, we have perfected the singles cruise experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day. From the moment you board the ship, our STI Concierge is waiting to meet you at our Welcome Aboard Get Together. Our first evening begins with a private, welcome aboard cocktail party followed by daily activities both onboard the ship as well as in each port. We dine together each evening in an open seating arrangement so that you have a chance to meet as many people as possible.

Our “Baby Boomer” vacations cater to singles in their 50s and 60s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 45-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages.

We recommend that you meet the members of the STI Community online where you may view and interact with members via “Who’s Going” on every trip page. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your STI Travel Director/Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our Weekly STI Program. We reserve late (second) seating for the entire group for dinner and use an open seating plan. Late (second) dining is generally served at 8:30 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at early (first) seating, please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose late (second) seating and by selecting early (first) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are generally several a la carte, themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International will take reservation requests for tables of 8 during our Welcome Aboard meeting. You may sign up for those options, and therefore enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles, once onboard the ship.

If you would like to dine early, please make your request at time of reservation. Note that we will accommodate your request but the majority of our members dine at second seating.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. If sharing a cabin, we recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.

The average daytime temperature for Argentina and Uruguay is 80-85 and evenings average 75-80 degrees. Ushuaia and Stanley will be a bit cooler, around 55-60 degrees. At this time, in Antarctica, wildlife is plentiful and active and the daily temperature is usually about 5F to 40F (0C to 5C). As we will only be cruising around Antarctica, and not going ashore, a jacket to wear on deck should suffice.

The weather changes from year to year but nevertheless, prepare for all conditions. Take a few minutes to plan your wardrobe for the cruise by visiting the following site.

Check out www.wunderground.com for up to date predictions as well as historical data for you destination.

No inoculations are required. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) recommends updating all routine booster shots for travel almost anywhere. In addition, we suggest that you have a physical check-up before your trip, and discuss the type of trip in which you are participating with your physician.

You and your physician can access much more, very detailed health information for travelers (including tips on staying healthy while traveling) on the CDC website. Click their “Traveler’s Health” link or call toll-free 24-hours at 1-800-CDC-INFO (800-232-4636).

A passport is required for cruise travel to Argentina and Uruguay. Be sure to confirm that your passport is current and will be valid at least six months after your departure. If you do not have one or need a new one, contact the State Department Passport Office in your area immediately or visit their website.

Currently, Argentina has suspended the $160 reciprocity fee for US citizens. This, however, could be reinstated at any time, at their discretion, and would not be covered by STI.

Non US citizens are responsible for contacting all countries on our itinerary to secure appropriate documentation in advance.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag, weighing up to 50 pounds, for a fee. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

As always, for traveling, we recommend that you pack layers with 3 main colors and accessories. Start with pants and a few t-shirts, add a light sweater or sweat shirt and then a water/wind proof jacket with a hood, just in case. Comfortable walking shoes are a must with extra socks in case you get wet.

NEW:
Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. Now, on up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Women should feel comfortable wearing:
• A cocktail dress
• Skirt, pants or designer jeans with an elegant top

Men should feel comfortable wearing:
• Pants or designer jeans with a dress shirt, button-down shirt or sweater
• Optional sport coat or blazer

Evening Chic means that you may get glamorous and be sophisticated in your own way. If you would like to still wear a tuxedo or formal gown on Evening Chic nights, you absolutely should.

Any cruise 7-nights or more will feature at least one Evening Chic night. All other nights of the cruise will feature Smart Casual attire.

Smart Casual attire may be enjoyed every other night of your cruise.

Women should feel comfortable wearing:
• Skirt, pants or jeans with a casual top

Men should feel comfortable wearing:

• Pants or jeans with a sport shirt that has sleeves

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.

Our Concierge Team will create several theme nights and costumes are recommended, although optional. More information about themes will be disclosed closer to departure via our chat and direct emails from our Concierge Team.

Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.

Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.

– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Ladies will want to bring a nicer warm wrap and gentlemen a nicer jacket, for evening wear. Evenings aboard the ship are sometimes cool due to the air conditioning, so a cover up is essential if you tend to get cold easily.
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor.
– Insulated Coffee-To-Go cup for more java to enjoy poolside.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Power strip for all your gadgets – most cabins have only one outlet.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, Neosporin or other anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face, especially for guests in an inside cabin.
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book (iphone/smart phone) for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of memory chips and extra batteries.

Meet Your STI Concierge

Vicki

Hi! My name is Vicki, and I am so happy to have joined the STI family as a Concierge! After having a career as a health-and-fitness writer and then having children, I decided to make a career change in order to pursue my love for travel. For 9 years now, I have designed small-group tours all over Europe and have led tours in Italy, Malta and Croatia. From the moment I began leading tours, being able to share wonderful experiences and make people smile through discovering a new location - or perhaps through discovering something about themselves - I felt as if I had found exactly what I was meant to do! I look forward to making your vacation dreams come true.

What Our Members Are Saying

I just came back from a fantastic Mediterranean vacation aboard the Norwegian Epic. STI was fantastic from the office staff to our cruise hostesses June and Georgia. I look forward to traveling with STI again in the future!

The Epic Med cruise was fantastic. It was my first trip to Europe and was a nice taste of Spain, Italy and France. The day I saw there was a cruise without a single supplement was when I signed up. Nice group and made lots of new friends. Thanks STI!
