Main Cruise Package

Athens, Greece

Welcome to the beautiful Capital city of Greece; the birthplace of philosophy and democracy. Explore the ancient monuments, world class museums, chic cafés, unique shops and charming taverns of the city center. Admire the 5th century BC landmarks, including the Acropolis, and take in the stunning, panoramic views from Acropolis Hill. Discover the Parthenon Temple, just another one of the many ancient buildings we will find here. Observe the sculptures, jewelry and vases, preserved from Ancient Greece, at the Acropolis Museum or the National Archaeological Museum. One day in this city is not enough to see all it has to offer!

Istanbul, Turkey (overnight) – Bosphorus Cruise and the Grand Bazaar

As it is split between two continents (Europe and Asia), Istanbul is a very unique city. Imperial mosques with sky-high minarets and lavish Byzantine architecture make up the skyline. The Sultanahmet district offers an endless list of must-see sites including: the open-air Roman-era Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace. We are in for a treat with our included Bosphorus Cruise. We’ll set sail by private tender boat to glide over the jet blue waters of the Bosphorus so that we can take in the city and its iconic skyline from both angles. As we weave our way between traditional fishing boats and ferries, we will soon see the Orient and Occident emerging. Keep a lookout for the glamorous 19th century Dolmabahçe Palace and the former Ottoman palace of Çırağan, now a luxury hotel, on the European riverbank. As for the Asian side, the summer residence of the sultans, Beylerbeyi Palace, as well as the Anatolian Castle medieval fortress and magnificent Kanlica Villa all soon come into view. Once we are back on dry land, we can stretch our legs with a stroll around the labyrinthine Grand Bazaar. Try haggling for souvenirs, or simply browse the myriad of goods on offer.

Çanakkale, Turkey

As we cruise in, through the Dardanelles Strait, Çanakkale sits at the narrowest part. We will instantly spot the wooden Trojan horse among the vast, yacht-lines waterfront promenade. This is a small city that boasts a lot of history, as it is the gateway to Gallipoli WWI battlefields. Visit the Naval Museum Command, which contains the historical artillery or tour the archaeological site in the UNESCO-listed city of Troy, which includes an ancient theater. Wander the ruins in Troy and learn the history of the the Trojan War. Visit the gravesites and many memorials of the Gallipoli battlefields, including Beach Cemetery and Lone Pine Cemetery and enjoy the peaceful views over the landscape.

Volos, Greece

Tucked just below My. Pelion, land of the mythical centaurs, Volos captures the Pagasetic Gulf to one side and the mountainous Pelion Peninsula to the other. As we step off the ship, we are greeted by a thriving university city with an energetic pace. This beautiful city offers both ancient and neoclassical architectural gems for us to admire. Explore the natural beauty of the villages in the pine-clad hills of Mt. Pelion and visit Tsangarada, a city characterized by mansion homes, cobblestones piazzas, tree-shaded alleys and stunning views of the Aegan Sea. Our Mamma Mia! fans should head over to Damouchari, one of the filming locations in the movie, and enjoy lunch or a swim. For a spiritual adventure, choose an excursion that travels to the monasteries of Meteora. The giant rocks seem to appear out of nowhere as we explore the unique geology and landscape, full of colossal stones that reach 400 meters in height!

Heraklion, Greece ~ Minoan Palace of Knossos- 1st European Civilization

As Crete’s capital, and port city, Heraklion is enriched with stunning architecture and edifices, from the Venetian Era, that still stand today and represent a proud heritage. As our ship pulls in, we will notice the harbor dominated by Koules Fortress, which was built by the Republic of Venice in the 16th Century. The refined Venetian architectural details, on it’s facade, underline the importance of Heraklion within the Venetian Republic. As we venture, on our bus tour, into the incredible open-air museum of the Palace of Knossos, we will pass the Koules Fortress, the Venetian Loggia (the 17th century administrative and social center), the harmonious Morozini fountain and the 10th century Church of St. Titus. Considered Europe’s oldest city, we are entering and experiencing the incredible world of Minoan civilization. The ancient city gradually exposes remarkable architecture, art and the daily life, of the Minoan people, along it’s long and winding roads. Imagine the legends of Daedalus, Theseus and the Mintotaur have come to life in the legendary Hall of the Royal Guard and the Double Axes, the King’s Chamber or the Queen’s Apartment. After our tour, the rest of the day is free to enjoy as we please. Walk around Heraklion’s old city center, shop for souvenirs, enjoy refreshments in a cafe or tour the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, the best Minoan art museum in the world. The collection features ancient jewelry, everyday items, the Bull’s Head Royton and religious artifacts from the archaeological site of Knossos. Whether it is the rich history, culture or stunning beauty, Heraklion is sure to leave a mark on us all.

Santorini, Greece  ~ Spectacular Oia Village Perched on the Caldera Rim

The gorgeous island of Santorini boasts whitewashed, cubiform houses atop a rugged landscape of black, volcanic cliffs. We are in for a treat as we journey to the picture perfect world of romance and beauty; Santorini’s Jewel, the village of Oia. As we embark on our tour of the island’s second largest village, we will drive by the picturesque villages of Firostefani, Imerovigli (the “balcony to the Aegean”), and Megalochori, surrounded by its famous vineyards. We will stop, briefly, to capture their beauty in photos before we continue on our panoramic drive, by Santorini’s caldera, which offers breathtaking views. From afar, we will admire the capital village of Fira, as well as three of the five islands that form a cluster around Santorini; Thirassia, Palea Kameni and Nea Kameni. Upon arrival in Oia, we will walk, along gleaming white streets, through a beautiful labyrinth of shops, cafes, art galleries and hotels built in the authentic Cycladic style. We will have free time to shop for fine jewelry, admire art, or simply relax and breathe in the gorgeous scenery. A camera is a must on this excursion, as this village is one of the world’s most loved living postcards.

Mykonos, Greece (overnight)

Be ready, with a camera, as we cruise in to Mykonos, known as the cosmopolitan paradise. Artists, celebrities and socialites flock to Mykonos for its gorgeous beaches, breathtaking scenery and vibrant nightlife. During the day, wander through the pretty alleyways or tour the Ancient Greek Ruins on Delos, a small, neighboring island. Venture to the top of the hill, overlooking Mykonos Town, and admire the 16th century windmills and stunning views. As we are docked overnight, we will have the opportunity to experience the legendary nightlife of Mykonos. The massive nightclubs and beach clubs attract world famous DJs and celebrities. For a more laid back atmosphere, Mykonos town is also full of many bars and restaurants.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every trip sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 24 years, we have perfected the singles vacation experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day. From the moment you join our tour, our local guide is waiting to meet you. Our first day begins with an orientation and the camaraderie builds as we go along. The object of your vacation is trying something new, seeing new places and making new friends. The bonds that develop on our tours are by far the strongest and longest lasting.

Absolutely. Our site is so popular that we guarantee to find a roommate for you or the single room is on us! In order to take advantage of our offer, you must be paid in full by July 19, 2019. Of course, single accommodations are available at an additional rate, which is assessed by the hotel. Single room availability is very limited and reservations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. If sold out, please book the share and wait list yourself when speaking to our reservation specialist.

Roommate matches are based on the same sex, general age range and smoking preference whenever possible, but not guaranteed. STI reserves the right to make any match up until day of departure, including roommate changes once on tour for members who select the Share & Save option.

We highly recommend that our guests contact their roommates in advance. Booked members have access to our private online chat. Meet your roommate as well as the other members on your vacation. Singles Travel International makes every effort to accommodate requests, but does not guarantee the satisfaction or success of a roommate match. It’s the responsibility of the guest to contact his/her roommate and ask the appropriate questions.

Optional pre and post cruise/tour stays are not eligible for the guarantee. Chances are excellent that we’ll find you a match, but if no match found by 30 days prior to departure, member pays the single supplement.

Our “Baby Boomer” vacations cater to singles in their 50s and 60s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 45-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages.

We recommend that you meet the members of the STI Community online where you may view and interact with members via “Who’s Going” on every trip page. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation.

November is a great time of year to visit the Greece and Turkey, when the weather is superb. During this month, the temperatures are pleasantly mild, as are the average sea temperature. There is also a lower chance of rainfall in November.

It is best to drink bottled water while in Greece and Turkey. You will find that both still and sparkling water are available aboard our cruise and you may carry off to drink during your excursions. Water is purified in the hotels and restaurants, and it is ok to drink beverages with ice wherever we take you on the tour.  More may be purchased as you go and a good way to get small change for bathrooms use and shopping.

The public drinking water in Greece is safe to drink, although it can be slightly brackish in some locales near the sea. For that reason, many people prefer the bottled water available at restaurants, hotels, cafes, food stores, and kiosks.

It is also not necessary to use bottled water to brush your teeth, as the tap water has also been purified.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag, weighing 50 pounds each, for a fee. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

The Greek Island cruise was a "bucket list" experience.  From the Windmills in Mykonos, to the hillside towns of Santorini, and the amazing Ephesus ruins in Kusadasi, Turkey.  Everyday brought new and exciting sites and sounds.  Sailing on a small ship like the Celestyal Crystal was a treat.  Good service, Fun Toga nights, and an amazing Tour Host...Hats off to June Moore!!   A memorable week of fun and amazing sites!!!   Thanks Singles Travel!

Last summer I went to Crete on a last minute trip which was only possible with your assistance and encouragement. It was one of the best vacations I have ever had. I met such awesome people on that trip. Last weekend with some planning, some of U.S. ladies who met at The Mistral got together in NYC. Four of us met because of Singles Travel International. Attached is a photo of the four of us having brunch at Tavern On The Green in beautiful Central Park. So the take away for me is I need more STI trips! Margie K. ~ Newburgh, NY
