Think saltwater taffy, seaside cottages, children building sandcastles and sailboats at sunset. Sounds like a dream right? When New Englanders want a day at the beach they head to ‘the Cape.’ This sandy peninsula is outlined with miles of sparkling shoreline, but there’s a lot more than just beaches here. The Cape boasts quaint fishing villages, biking and hiking trails, some of the freshest seafood imaginable and an escape for the elite. The Cape began as a summer retreat for writers and artists. These days, it’s a thriving community and has a refreshing carnival feel all year long, the perfect getaway for singles.
