I founded Singles Travel International because I have been a single traveler all of my life. After graduating from Northern Illinois University, I worked as a flight attendant for Pan Am, then for a sales promotion agency in New York, where I created incentive travel programs for Fortune 100 companies.

I have always enjoyed taking people to new and exciting places. The problem was that when I went on my own vacation, I didn't always have someone to go with me. After talking to other singles I realized that I was not alone in my dilemma, and a great idea hit me!

Why not try to link single travelers together and make a more rewarding experience for everyone. Since founding Singles Travel International in 1995, we have created custom designed cruise and tour itineraries that accommodate the needs of the single traveler.

Hi I am Robin and I am your Reservation Therapist for Singles Travel International. I am here to make sure you have the time of your life EVERY time you travel with us. I am originally from St. Louis, but have lived many places including Europe. I have been in the Chicagoland area for 13 years now and loving it. I enjoy boating, flea market bargain-hunting and, of course, travel. I am a single gal myself and the mom of four, so I know how important “getting away from it all” really is and I am here to make that happen for you. Kimberly took her first trip with STI in December 2005 as a guest on our New Year’s Eve Cruise. Since then, she has booked multiple trips including weekend getaways, as well as the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Mexico and Europe. As a frequent traveler, she has graciously accepted the responsibility of being an STI Ambassador and leading a group when a travel director was not available. With her organizational skills and attention to detail, she is our “behind-the-scenes-girl”, preparing many of the travel documents for our guests and tour directors.

Kimberly holds an MBA in Finance from Dominican University in Chicago and currently works as a Senior Credit Analyst at a technology company. When not traveling the globe, she enjoys reading and sewing most of her own clothes.

Michael Katz, from New York City, is no stranger to the singles travel industry. Having had an extensive background in the music industry, he enjoys entertaining people, and makes sure that everyone has a great time on their adventure. Having been a cruise coordinator for the past 5 years, he has led singles groups across the globe, from the Caribbean, to Alaska, to the Mexican Riviera, and to Europe throughout the Mediterranean. Michael is also a singer and a dance instructor, and can be found giving Salsa/Cha Cha/Merengue lessons to his cruisers, and encourages them to join with him in entering the Guest Talent Show while onboard as well. The emphasis is in having "FUN!" This is your vacation, and Michael will do everything he can to make your journey a "Trip of a Lifetime!"

When he is not traveling, and back on planet Earth, he has a successful business called Miche Permanent Cosmetics. As a Board Certified Technician and Instructor, Michael performs and teaches Permanent Make Up, enhancing Eyebrows, Eyes, and Lips on clients that need to have definition restored in these areas. He is on the Board of Permanent Make Up in New Jersey, and also performs medical tattooing for Cancer patients, and Scar Camouflage for accident victims. When not at work, you can find him dancing at some of the best dance studios around New York City. And yes, he is still pursuing his musical career, and is currently working on a CD with ex-Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick.

A graduate of Queens College, and a born and bred New Yorker, Michael looks forward to meeting you on your next STI vacation...and don't forget your dance shoes!!!! (Michael will be escorting our Queen Mary 2 Dance Cruise from New York City to Paris in July 2008)

Heidi Lamprecht is celebrating the beginning of her 19th year in the travel industry. Her travel career has included working on cruise ships and leading land tours. Through her work and personal travel she has had the opportunity to visit all seven continents -- a dream come true.

Her passions in life include traveling and discovering new cultures and destinations, dancing, water sports and skiing. For every destination she visits and checks off her dream list, she discovers about ten new ones to add.

Since she was young, she has enjoyed showing friends the important sights, first in her native Berlin and later in California. She has held numerous positions including working with disadvantaged youth, the terminally ill and the elderly; as well as teaching school. While she was a teacher in California, her dream was born to make her love for travel, and her desire to share her experience with others, into a full-time career.

Heidi brings energy and enthusiasm to her role as cruise concierge at STI. She looks forward to meeting and getting to know her guests and sharing their vacation adventure with them. Through her warm, friendly and organized manner, her guests feel welcome and taken care of. One of Heidi’s greatest joys is seeing other singles have fun and making new friends. She also enjoys making the local culture come alive for her fellow travelers.

Heidi has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from universities in California. She enjoys reading and researching new destinations.

"Wine is to the spirit what travel is to the soul." And I've loved every drop of both for the past 25 years! My love affair with travel started when I was an Art History student living in Tuscany in the 80's. I would take the train to Trieste and then catch a bus to Dubrovnik! 17 hours with 3 stops! After I graduated, I lived in Dublin and then London for many years before returning to the US. Although I grew up in Pittsburgh PA and love the city with all my heart, I now call Redondo Beach, California my home - in the sunny South Bay of Los Angeles. The only thing I cherish more than my own travels is sharing my discoveries with you.

Leslie Minoff, who has recently joined STI, has worked with singles groups on cruises for over 6 years. She has escorted many groups to the Caribbean, Mexico and the Bahamas, as well as planned pre-cruise get-togethers for the groups. Her smiling face and warm personality, as well as her strong sense of organization and attention to detail are well known to those who have both cruised and worked with her.

At home in Miami, Leslie is very involved with the singles community and helps coordinate activities involving singles who are seeking travel adventures, friendship, love and networking opportunities. As a single woman herself, Leslie enjoys participating in activities for singles and understands the interests of other singles.

Leslie is a graduate of the University of Maryland, (she is originally from Baltimore, MD) and holds degrees in both accounting and psychology. As a CPA, she has held the position of Controller in a variety of different industries and looks forward to meeting you on your next vacation.

Robin Roberts has been escorting tour groups since 2005, inspired to learn the trade by her travels to several countries in Latin America, Spain and cruises to the Caribbean. She developed a hunger to learn more, and her interest in the people and different cultures of the world fueled a desire to become a bridge of understanding between them. She has worked with professional people from many European countries, as well as student groups, within the US. Her warm, lively and outgoing personality helps people of all ages and from all walks of life feel at ease, while her conscientious awareness, quick mind and cool head inspire confidence that things will go as they should.

Born in Ohio and growing up in Michigan, Robin moved south to Atlanta after graduating college with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and Illustration, and she has lived in the area ever since. Her entrepreneurial spirit, natural curiosity and drive keep her busy working in the areas of management, hospitality, helping others, entertainment, and, of course, travel and tourism. She has found that no matter where she travels or whom she interacts with, we are all people, and we all respond to genuine interest and kindness. A smile is never wasted!

Robin’s personal interests include music, singing, dancing, theater, art, nature and wildlife, animals, sustainability, keeping physically active, walking, hiking, camping, canoeing, cooking and baking, eating (it goes with the cooking and baking), reading, learning, and especially, laughing.
